I would have thought he might say.

Ne pas ne stravia

(spelling is wrong I know)

Nope, that would come after the Aha!

I thought the same when I saw the topic heading too, 'P'

Well, like a lot of others here I'm of the dining table variety: means half the time is unpacking and repacking :(
So this is it....the dining table, underneath can be seen ?my works box with several other bits piled on top, this is where it usually sits 'til space is needed for other occasions.

And for those of you with eagle eyes (I know there are a couple   ), a slightly better pic of the revenants being worked on.

Hi!

For a moment there I thought the thread was about the "work" area as in what you do for a living.... :D

I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one who had the same idea...  :p

No pics (sorry, I don't own a digital camera), but here is a description of my work area:

I use part of my workbench in my basement. All of my largere minis like titans, gargants and knights, as well as all of my Imperial, Squat, Eldar and Chaos vehicles are stored in an organizer that most people use for organizing loose screws, nails, nut and bolts, etc. This set of drawers is about 2 feet (60 cm) tall.

All of my infantry stands, most of my Ork vehicles and all of my Nids (except dominatrixes are stored in plastic Remington .22 ammo boxes.

My jars of paint, brushes and miscellaneous supplies are stored in old cigar boxes that I got from my grandfather.

To the left of the workbench, is a set of metal shelves used for storing various things, some of which is epic stuff.

Where I do the actual painting on my workbench are my current painting projects, specifically 6 bombards, a leviathan and a Capitol Imperialis. About to be assembled are a great gargant and a slasher gargant.

An interesting thread - Its always strangely intruiging to see other's work areas.

I'm very lucky in that a few years ago I had an extension built to my folks place & had my room designed as a workshop, which just happened to also house my bed (at the time I was also very lucky to have a very understanding Girlfriend....).

Shortly before I fell ill a couple of months ago, I started to re-design my space so I had a bit more division between my workspace & "room". One stud wall & a load of workbench have gone up, I'm still waiting to find the time, money & energy to put into finishing off the conversion!

My custom built gaming table has gone - It was hardly ever used, but I paint full-time so it made sense to re-alocate the space to more efficient means. Bear in mind I do paint & sculpt full time, so this is a little more extreme an example of a hobby area :D

Heres the pics:
The new workbench area. The white sheets are where I do allmy photography - my camera now stands onthe floor on a big tripod so I can get any angle I need. My Daylight lamp also swings round for perfect lighting. Underneath I store a filing unit full of models, a couple of dozen carry cases & my stock of FiC foam trays. Shelving is next onthe list to fill the wall next to my cabinet & create more storage /. display area.

My display cabinet. Quite self explanitory - the perspex slides off for access.

My primary work area. Two more filing cabinets full of miniatures, racks of tools & paint all easily accessable & plenty of lighting

Storage space is always at a premium in my workshop.

The shelves directly over my main work area are covered in boxes of minaitures, Bits, and a variety of scatters, sands and texturing materials as well as a small part of my militaria collections.

Close at hand to theleft of my workspace is this bookshelf, full of reference materials, rulebooks & of course, miniatures which wont fit anywhere else! Also of great importance is the stereo - I couldnt live without music to keep me (relatively) sane! Just behind the bookcase you can see the edge of the stud wall & beyond this is my bed & cramped "living quarters". It may not be mixed in together any more, but the workshop area still won priority in the re-build!.

OK, couldn't resist adding my own workspace...it is somewhat of a mess at the moment as I am moving...

First, the empty shelves, for novelty and proof of the movingness  :(  Normally there are 4 of these shelves full of figs...

General storage area, including the audio inspiration modules...
