Since I took a look to the Reaper site when reading the Armageddon forum I thought to add some suggestions for Net Epic:
7035: Mark IV Poltergeist just seems to cry out: "Squat!". Replace the quad gun with one big gun and you got an instant ironhammer.
7056: Grundor House Hunter is even more Squatish and would make a good Hearthlord if it is large enough.
7010: Borsig-Spline Scorpion and 7038: Borsig Spline Spider would make perfect Necron vehicles while I'm sure the walkers could be used as Slann Mechs.

It's a strange world we live in... I actually got to GAME yesterday evening! ?
A local group invited me out and we played a game of Battletech, a game of Puerto Rico, played show'n'tell with miniatures, and had one monster of a conversation about justice, economy, and US hegemony! It was a really great night.
However, I digress. One of the other highlights was to see that the host's proud collection was mainly centered around Victoriana / gaslight / steampunk / landship games. He had some miniatures by a company called Jeff Valent Studios for a game called Deadlands / The Great Rail Wars that would be excellent Epic proxies. Here goes:
- ? ?GRW1533 Steam Turtles $12.95 (5 figures) These little buggers have perfect Ork style and with a little conversion would probable make great Ork armour: battlewagunz, battlefortesses, Ork snax wagunz. etc.. I recommend using them as battlefortresses after modifying them a little bit. To see the photo of them, go to the URL I typed and scroll down the new releases until you the Steam Turtles. They're not in the regular catalogue yet.
http://www.jeffvalentstudios.com/
- GRW1505 Automatons (3 poses) $14.95 (Six figures) Instant Stompas or SupaStompas! These are perfect mechanical monstrosities. Add an Orky arm or two and you're in business. I really like these figures! ?
http://jeffvalentstudios.com/deadlandsgrw.htm http://home.att.net/~mmdeforrest/deadla ... /minis.htm
- GRW1519 Clockwork Tarantulas $12.95
What's not to like about mechanical spiders? I don't what they could be used to represent, but I like them. I'm thinking that thye would make some kind of a great Necron proxy.
http://jeffvalentstudios.com/deadlandsgrw.htm http://home.att.net/~mmdeforrest/deadla ... /minis.htm
- GRW1261 Battle Suit $19.95 This is one giant robot and is probably about 6 inches or more in height (I didn't measure it). The steampunk style definitely lends itself to Orky engineering, but I don't know what I would class this monster as... maybe a Mega Gargant?

Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

I just checked out those links, very cool stuff. There're a lot of neat models out there.
I found a Psychoborg from Alternate Armies 15mm sci-fi line that I'm going to use as a Chaos Titan. I also just saw on the GZG site new Sci-fi Egyptian Aliens ("Star Gate") figures that might make good Epic terrain. ?
You know, huge statues partially buried in the sand on a Desert Death World. I have a lot of desert terrain, for my Epic Death World - "Abydos" even though it is an environment I dislike the most ... go figure ... ?

One of my ongoing (secret) projects has been to write:
Epic 1889
A combination of using the Epic40K rules within a Victorian SF background.
I have always liked VSF and being able to use E40k in my mind makes perfect sense, as E40k has always struck me as idea for the era. For Imperial Guard read English Infantry, for Orks read Zulus.
Must get round to doing some more on that (as those minis do look rather nice and ideal).

Stop throwing those bloody spears at me!
With Rough Riders, Squiggoths, Land Trains; there are numerous rules already in place to replicate VSF units, even Land Raiders look like VSF Landships...
Another project (which never got started, let alone finished) was to build a British Landship using a Land Raider as the base model, with British infantry firing Maxim HMGs out of the sides (aka where the Lascannons would be). It would be painted battleship grey. I got as far as buying the infantry... which I have now sold on eBay so it isn't ever going to be done (anytime soon)...

No one plays a Victorian Age Officer better than Micheal !!! ? ?
I've seen a couple of sites, that game in that period. Including all European and Colonial Armies, and even Dino Hunts in deepest darkest Africa. They have Land Ships, Riverine Gun Boats, WWI style Armored Cars, Air Ships etc. ? It has a certain appeal to it...
As Michael would say, "Good Show, old man... " ?

I like VSF to gentlemen, but...
Let's get back to proxies, please...
I have high hopes that someone else will start adding URLS for something I haven't seen before. I also really like suggestions for what to use as Epic proxies. I'm dieing to see photos of dome of the GZG infantry types.
Peter, get a photo of those PanAfricans for me, will you?
I have the GZG Islamic Federation troops assembled and painted with a basic job.
I'm hoping to have some free time tonight to be able to do some painting and assembly. I have high plans to assemble infantry tonight. I'll borrow the roommate's digital camera and see if I can get some photos taken.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Darn, I gave them away some time ago, but tell you what, if you give me some time I'll order some of the GZG infantry codes so as to get pictures of them. I'm thinking of doing the same with some of the Scotia line.
I'd like to see whatever pictures you take, I need to do the same with the proxies from stellar games I use for Squats and Necron.

I have the GZG 6mm figs. I was going to use the Islamic Troops as Tallarn. ?
But, I'm waiting to see what G/W is going to do, with E-A. I don't know which figs are the Pan-Africans that Peter mentioned in 6mm? Any Recon photos? ?

Primarch,
Don't bother ordering the Scotia figures. I have them and will have to put it on my list of figures to photograph.

Hi!
Okay, I will concentrate on GZG then. It would make a valuable resource to pool all these "proxy" pictures, since its a rather common question for people to ask what alternatives exist.
Is anyone going to put together all these pics on a site? Or will they go to the gallery?
