Great News,
I've been speaking to the chaps at BHGS (British Historical Gaming Society) and the have allowed me to tag an EPIC tournament onto the back of this event.
This is fantastic as Britcon, for me, is the best event of the year and with EPIC will make it even better. Let me tell you abit about it.
Britcon is a on campus event at the University of Manchester. It runs 19th to the 21st of August, I think. Yep thats right Friday to Sunday bu you don't need a day off work. The first game, according to last year, takes place when you get there and you have until 10-11pm to finish.
The great thing about britcon is you have 6 games and alot more time to complete your game, so we will be playing 6 games of 4,000pts .... I see interest
The second best bit is it's on campus. There is a student bar (so nice cheap drinks). There is accomodation (student digs) with breakfast (and the breakfast is really nice). I think based on two people sharing ... 2 nights b+b and entry = ?86 or something like that so it really is good value.

If you click on events, britcon, you will see alot more information plus a booking form. Don't worry if the booking form doesn't say EPIC, as I've only just asked for EPIC to be played, just write it on the bottom of the form.

No problem. You add it when you create the first post and add the date and title. You cant create a calender event without starting a new topic.

Yeah,
Actually I normally play Warhammer Fantasy Battle at this event. With EPIC being introduced this year, it should make it even better

Go on! Also there is a pub quiz on the Saturday night, really good fun. Also the organisor, after the pub quiz, gives 3 questions to each quiz team. This is on any subject and if one team gets it right, he buy's a round for the whole pub .... he has never been beaten though
