Wow 245 days since my last update or eight months exactly! Thats what a classic case of Blood Bowl fever does to you. I scratched the itch and now im crawling back. Hello Again!
I am hoping this will cause uproar but I am concidering swapping over to regular Necrons instead of the Cubes. The more I see the beautiffuly painted Monoliths and stuff the more I want to have a conventional looking army. I am also starting to feel a little constrained by the cube vibe... At the end of the day most of my conversions are just different sized cubes.
Anyway mid-project crisis over...
My wonderful ladyfriend bought me some 2.5mm plastic rod for christmas, and you all know what that means!
SCARAB SWARMS

These guys are just trials but they came out nicely enough. I am going to make a bunch more because I like tiny cubes... they are so cute.
I also finally got my other objective finished Hoo-Raaah. Long undecided what to do I originally had a monolith that had collapsed... I was never happy with it and hated the idea that my troops were already dead on the battlefield. Recovering a crashed plan or exploded tank always seem like a sign of weakness for the army to me. I know its silly but I could neer get over that fact.
So I have made a natural deposite of Energon Cubes or... Cubetonium or some other silly sounding name.

Its ment to be some kind of resource that the Cube dudes like... and invade places because their own lands are now out of cubes energy block things. I might still make a childrens playground for an objective.
I have finally ditched my awe inspiring commander cube (Warbbq (Warbarque)) after a dozen battles he has proven time and time again that the Warbark is a waste of time and adds nothing to the force. I love the model so I will keep it around but he isnt allowed to command. Presenting some much needed barrage weapons to take his place. The Deciever...

This was an absolute bits box job putting him together. I really wanted to use a deciever and didnt have any awesome cube ideas so just used a spare obelisk and stuck it on an old ghoul whol had his arms lengthened to monsterous proportions with some genestealer hands (old and new!). He was going to be holding a lady in a king kong climbing tall buildings style. It didnt work out so I had him performing Shakespeare to an energy cube, I tried having him perform a cube based 'hadoken' but it looked all wrong. As soon as I an think of something better or convert to regular necrons im gonna get rid of him.
Finally here is a scale shot of all the new silliness.

Stay tuned for titans! I have the frames built and want to try and have one ready for the weekend... will it happen? Nobody knows!
