Wow - I leave for a few weeks and everyone's talking about me behind my back! LOL!
To answer a few questions posed here:
1. Infantry
Infantry units are organized into multi-team squads and fight as such; 2-4 squads in a platoon may move/fire/assault during a single activation, and may have special abilities and heavy weapons (based on player preference during construction or 'fluff' source materials for specific armies). An infantry platoon can be as deadly (or even more so) as a heavy tank platoon, but probably won't survive as long once it attracts attention to itself (as it should be, IMO).
2. Titans
Large vehicles can sustain multiple hits before being destroyed, with seven different sizes of 'Large' ranging from the size of an LCAC (in game terms, Signature 2) through an Imperator Titan/OGRE-sized vehicle (Signature -4). Each hit can degrade mobility, weapons fire, EW systems, take out crew, or damage/take out secondary systems.
3. Different dice and armor factors
This sounds more complicated than it is in practice. The hit location is based on the target's facing to the firer (front/side/rear), while the location (hull/turret) is determined as part of reading the to hit roll - no separate calculating necessary. The design rules allow one to create vehicles with identical armor factors and weapons dice if that's more to your style of play.
4. ATTN: netepic
Did I not send you a comp copy, Tom? I thought I had sent a final copy to you as I had the other manufacturers. PM me if you don't have a copy and would like one.
