I think I'm going to do a Armageddon Command Guard detachment. They are only fielded at company strength, so I won't need too many figures. Plus I have a Leviathan for their command vehicle.
Cheers, Chris.

I have (literally) just finished my first unit - a Catachan Company, with many other planned, including a Death Korps of Krieg (just sound cool!) and some Monglor Assault Units in particular.
I have uploaded a photograph of my new Catachans here: http://www.epic40k.co.uk/epicomm....try5709
I also just HAVE to do a Hyrkan Regiment unit one day just to have Commissar-Cadet Gaunt in there!

If my list ever gets printed, you'll see my stuff:
Essentially, here it is:
3 Mech inf. comps. (All Vallhallan figures), 3 Infantry comps. (1 Vallhallan, 1 Olde Guard, 1 Catachan), 2 Infantry Comps. (Both Squat!).
Plus TWO tank companies, arty and Super Heavies!

For Epic-A, I am planning on making my IG sprues up as Armageddon Steel Legion, and after them I shall probably start a Cadian force, with lots of tanks, in a very urban style, much like the 40k Cityfight studio miniatures.....

Stormseer,
Which figures are you planning to use for your Cadians?
The old Codex Grey IG figures?

Tas,
Yes, this is a good question!!
- What I was planning was building my Steel Legion to game with, and just getting tanks for the Cadians, and waiting to see if Fanatic will bring out any metal infantry figures in the future...
Of course, I will probably get impatient and end up converting some from existing figures....

I'll just reorganise my Net Epic forces for E-A games. Namely, the 14th Fennican regiment which, obviously, is of my own creation.
The troops have different uniform color depending on their branch of service.
Infantry: purple. Mech Infantry: green. Heavy Mech Infantry: black. Artillery: red.
Flak armor, boots and helmet: black.
If anybody is mystified about the choice of purple for basic infantry the answer is simple: I just wanted something completely different from the usual grey and green.

Mojarn,
Nice idea. Also, as part of the fluff you could write, you could say that the battlefields they fight on are purple? Something wrong with the grass of there homeworld?
Looking through the sprues I have, I think I'll end up doing some Orgryn and Ratling Auxillary companies, I'll have about 40 stands of each!
Cheers, Chris.

I have the same problem after ordering a stack of sprues in the latest GW "get rid of the plastic sprues" deals. Thus I now have (well planned anyway) an "Ogryn Shock Assault Company," comprised of:
12 Ogryn Stands 3 HQ Stands (1 Captain, 2 Commissars)
I'm going to have to come up with some kind of rule where the loss of HQ stands means you start to lose control of the Ogryns and they will simply charge the nearest enemy formation.
I've passed 50 Ogryns along to Legion 4 so he can do something similar, but I have no idea what I'm going to do with all those Ratlings? ?Maybe send them on a quest to destroy a ring or something

Yes,
I'm collecting Ogryn (among other Infantry types) from Tas, Signius and Maksim. Some are going to my Orks (!).
Yes, with SM-1 TO&Es you could have Ogryn with your Warbands! And with the Ogryn I have, I will have 2 Huge assault detachments of these guys for my IG! ? ?
And more requests, I need 5 Ork Stormboyz with Rokkit packs and 5 Ork Kommandos to round out my Mobs. Thanks guys, great to deal with you boyz! ?

Let's see. I guess it's my turn.
I'm planning to build some of the following:
SM:
- Black Dragons - I like them because of their cool look. - Blood Angels - I already have some. Why not bolster the forces? - Celestial Lions - I also like their look. - Raptors - The Raptor's story is cool. - Silver Skulls - This is my favorite of the new chapters. I don't know much about them, but they're SO cool-looking and... they'd be easy to paint.
IG:
- Arm. Ash Waste Militia - I really want to build Hive Gangers / Milita. - Arm. Command Guard - I guess like a few others, I'm planning to use this formation as a n excuse to bring a Leviathan. - Arm. Hive Militia - I really want to build Hive Gangers / Milita. - Arm. Steel Legion - They're featured and mechanized infantry is cool. I'm probably going to group Superheavies here as well. - Arphista Penal Legion - i haven't figured out which figures to use for them, but I loved the old penal legions. - Asgardian Rangers - I'm going to use some of the odder cavalry proxies for their mounts. - Cadian Shock Troops - They're one of the featured groups with fluff and might receive new models for their infantry. - Catachan Jungle Fighters - I have all those Epic40k Catachans - got to use them for something. - Death Korps of Krieg - Steel Legion and Krieg Korps. Cool combination! - Elysian Drop Troops - I'm thinking that GZG proxies would look good as Elysians. - Jopall Indentured Sqdns - I like their paint job and Codex Grey would look good as Jopallis. - Krourk Ogryn Auxilia - I like their red and black camo and it gives me an excellent excuse to convert lots of Ogryns. - Minervan Tank Legions - Amphibious tanks are cool. It would be fun to convert little wading tubes and other amphibious addittions for Minervan armor. - Mordian Iron Guard - They're one of the featured groups with fluff and might receive new models for their infantry. - Noctan Strike Force - Night fighters need black uniforms. This formation obviously needs a few Imperial assassins as well. - Ocanon Phalanx Troops - I'm thinking of using my Scotia proxies for Ocanons with their need for hostile environment suits and all. - Semtexian Bombardiers - I love their WWI German look and it's convenient to group my artillary as Semtexians. - Storm Troopers - I need an excuse to bring Valkyries and Vultures onto the field. I'm thinking that some of the GZG proxies look a lot like Storm Troopers. - Zouvan Skirmishers - I like their black and red camo and they'd look good with the other black and red unit, the Krourk Ogryn Auxilia.
Ork:
- DD ? Warlord Badfang?s Battle Forts - I like the idea of using my customized Battleforts for this unit. - DD ? Varga?s Drop Legions - This name is too cool! It reminds me of the Romans. My Storm Boyz are going to go here with a little bit of light support. - GT ? Great Overlord Ghazghkull?s War Horde - He's the Big Boss. I've got to have him. - GT ? Warlord Burzuruk?s Gargant Big Mob - I'm plannning to use some of my odder converted Gargantz with this tribe. - GT ? Warlord Kroksnik?s Deth Traks - Deth Traks just sounds cool! - GT ? Crooked Moon Tribe - These are good Bad Moonz. My yellow Orks will go here. - GT ? Red Fin Tribe - I like their symbol. - UU ? Vultures Tribe - I think this tribe will provdie most of the Ork air power. - UU ? Stompers Tribe - Who doesn't like Stompas? - OO ? Warlord Bogsnik?s Blitz Brigade - Blitz Brigade is such a great name.
Obviously, I'll never build them all.
What do you guys think?
Know where I can find fluff for any of the less common groups?
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!
Maksim,
I don't think you'll find much on these "lesser known" groups, but does it really matter?
I think you can come up with your own fluff and share with us here on the forums.
I bet you can come up with far more interesting stuff on your own.
I would like to see the "Stompas Tribe", it must most definitely kick butt!
