Heyhey, some of you may know me as Nightbringer from the older forums... But for those of you who don't know, I'm the guy who doodled the abbatoir and the aeonic orb (and the obelsik) in blue pen for use in the army list document...
Well, today I got bored in Physics and General Studies, and I redrew both the Abbatoir and the Aeonic Orb...
AEONIC ORB:
I'm much happier with this version of the Orb than my older one, because the old one was to be quite honest rubbish imo, lol
AEONIC ORB 2:
This is just a random sketch I made to see what it would look like if the sphere was actually inside the orb construct... I'm not a big fan of this idea...
ABBATOIR
Not too sure about this version of the abbatoir... I looked at the original, and thought that it didn't really look imposing enough to be an awe-inspiring weapon of war, so i decided to do just a front-view of a new version...
Tell me what you think, cos I don't know if I like it or not yet...
So, um... what do you guys think? Better or worse than my old doodles?

The new Aeonic Orb looks nice (first drawing better than second). The new Abbatoir look too busy. There should be a nice middle ground between the old one and the new one.
I really liked the old one. It looked like a floating Egyptian scene. I would have replaced the 2 smaller pyramids in back with towering structures, and the 2 front pyramids with some type of statue the tendrils could come out of.
It might be nice if you could keep in mind how difficult it will be to scratchbuild too. Not that it should dictate the work, maybe just influence a bit.

That is just perfect! Love the new arm/mandible things. Really gives it both the "Egyptian" scene, but also the look of an air vessel!
Now if I can just figure out how to scratchbuild that!

Well, I needed a way to put the tenticle-things on it, but I didn't think actual tentacles were very egyptian... So I gave it those mandibles which are covered in guns that would look similar to Gauss Flux Arc projectors on a monolith
