Hi

I'm looking to eBay off the Squat Warriors box set that I never got around to painting back in the mid '90s and has been gathering dust on top of my cupboard. The question I need answered is: How many bases were supplied in this box?
I would like to sell the box as 100% complete, but I looked inside and there were only seven sprues of bases, i.e. 21 bases altogether. This doesn't seem to be enough to accommodate all the Squats in the box. The box doesn't say how many bases should be included, it just says, "All of the models are supplied complete with plastic bases." However looking around all my old Epic stuff I can hardly find any spare bases . Were these plastic box sets packaged with a shortage of bases? Any help appreciated.

If you're curious as to exactly which box it is that I'm selling, then look at:

Anyone interested in Epic Squats should know that I will shortly be selling this box set, Ork & Squat Warlords, a Cyclops, a Colossus, an Overlord Airship, three Goliath Mega-Cannons and three Termites on eBay. All are complete and unpainted.

Apologies for the shameless plug. ?:)

Hi, from what I recall there sould be about 24 stands, the easiest way to find out is simply to count the amount of troops and divide by 5, this doesn't count the bikes/mortars/thudd guns etc, purely troops.

Well I tried doing this, but it worked out that I'd need 51 bases to fit all the infantry, bikes and artillery. I'm pretty sure they didn't come with that many, I don't think they'd have fit into the box! Also if each box I bought (this one, original Space Marine and a couple of Eldar War Hosts) did come with that many bases then there's a very mysterious disappearance act going on here...

Sorry, not completely clear, what I meant was that the bikes etc are not provided with stands at all, only the troops have stands, as I say 24 stands (6 sprues) are what I remember being provided.

Oh I see, thanks for clearing that up. I might as well use the seven sprues I found in there then, six for the troops and one for luck.

I see my mental arithmatic has become quite moronic of late:

Doh!
