Someone was looking for the original marine medic pic from Rogue trader rulebook. I managed to take a passable pic with my digicam and I'll put it to my briefcase as soon as that &#?&#!!! Yahoo stops giving me a "Server Error" each time I try to access the briefcase.

EDIT: Ok, here's the pic now.

Memories...

I've been collecting beakies for the last couple of years, my brother had about 30 from the Rogue trader days and I've been expanding their numbers.  I now have about 70 plus two of the old deredo class dreads.  :D

Tell me about it. Although the new Mk7 armour looks better overall I absolutely HATE the helmet. It's like a pig's head. The beak helmet was the trademark of the Imperium for many years.

I liked the beaked helmet because it seemed like a sensible design to deflect blows and shots - like having sloping armour on AFV's.

I guess comments about them looking like armoured wombles and 'womblehammer' must have had an effect on the new design :(

I also love these guys. I have about 15, ON SPRUES!  :D  Plus some of the old metal versions and various other bits still metal lying around somewhere. I also have the Mk8 Marine waiting to be painted somewhere.

there was an official background, my copy of Rogue Trader is packed away somewhere, but I think there was (minimal) information in the first Chapter Approved, Book of the Astronomicon (sp?). This is a very rare publication, I know I sold mine (which was falling apart) for over ?50 on eBay.
