Didn't they have plans to originally leverage prodos and we all know what happened there

Cheers E&C good to know they are looking to the future, I just hope there is enough players to support the game. It would be great to see a successful ruleset.

If they used Prodos initially, that certainly explains the production issues.

There were a lot of casting issues both metal and resin which has caused much delay and certain models needing to be redesigned in order to be castable so new prints and moulds for those too more delay.

Updates have been infrequent yes but they have kept backers aprised of the current state of play and we will be seeing product soon.

Crowdfunders/kickstarters whatever you want to call them are a risk taking investment I feel some people fail to realise that but that's the way it is, can't afford to right off your pledges well then don't take the risk in supporting the campaign.

I personally have supported around eight or so kickstarters including this one you just have to be patient and hope for the best.

I'm considering doing a campaign myself soon i've a large batch of DiD models needs funding so keep an eye out for that if you collect my models.

I didn't know there were issues with Prodos. I knew they mentioned issues, and they have had to go from a company printing for them, to basically one guy doing it in his house, to get the quality etc of the prints.

In a way its a shame two 6mm sci-fi kickstarters with rule sets came so close together. It might have helped if there had only been one. I'd really really love to see the 6mm scene revitalised and united over a new rule set.

As to him reinvesting in more... if the quality of the minis are anything like the pictures, then I'm delighted he is going again, and I will save up and back again, despite what has happened this time round.

Really though, a rule set that people will really take on board(polyversal, this or something else) would really be the icing on the cake for me.

As far as I'm aware all backers have now received their goods, me being the last to do so late last year.

Please tell me you got those junkers. I'm really interested in seeing if one could make a squat faction from them.

If you didn't receive your pledges then please contact them, the same thing happened to me which is why I was the last to get my stuff. Once I got to talk to someone it was sorted pretty quickly.

@jimmyzimms, sorry sir I mostly got the odd infantry sets here and there across the range, at the time I was more interested in the potential of the infantry as epic proxies.

ResF has a couple of pledge armies here and we played a test game. Seemed...ok. Reminded me a bit of Blitzkrieg Commander (warmaster) to me, seemed to lack the dynamism and rock, sisters, paper aspect of EA, but would like to play a bit more with some proxies to see if more unit variety would make it more fun.

Minis are great though. Unfortunately the Junka tanks are quite small - if i recall correctly, slightly smaller than even the original SM2 Squat war engines, so not really suitable for proxies - maybe a land train (I had had the similar thoughts).

Bummer as they have the right look I think. OTOH the squat lists are a complete joke (personal opinion) mainly due to the slavish needs of 25 year old models and blister pack contents and people worried about "existing collections". I had always considered perhaps doing a Cadian based squat proxy so perhaps with that in mind they may still work? I'm not really caring about squat leviathans and land trains myself [shrugs]

More important is the fact that people, barring a missed person here or there, have gotten delivery and hopefully we will see them painted and going now. It certainly has been long enough a wait. I fear too long perhaps to make the universe viable; It's a very different modeling world now from when they ran their KS.

Just use the epic UK squat list. It’s really fun and balanced

The legs on the resin mounts for the mounted troops (sandrunners?) were very fragile. Most arrived with between 1-3 legs snapped off. Not surprising given how thin they were. Even some of the metal models were weak on the thin parts.Wasn`t worth seeking replacements as the same would be likely to happen.
By the end, after all the delays, I wasn't expecting to get anything so anything I got was a bonus and sorting out mistakes was not worth it.

That’s a real bummer man. For the response to be “I supported it and my expectations were so low I don’t demand anything” is pretty grim for the whole project, especially considering the high retail they expected to charge based on content and quality, at least at one point. Real bummer overall - this feels more and more like a Ghost Project than anything else.
