Thanks. Ya, but I was shooting for an ax that looked like this:

Closest thing I came up with was the Singing Spear.
Looks on point in that case!

Also, thoughts on painting the Wild Riders?

Should I do Saim-Hann colors (red) because they're Saim-Hann units?

Or stick with orange to match the rest of my army?

But your orange scheme does look great.

I finished converting my Jetbike Farseer this week. I removed the Guardian's torso and right arm, and got the Farseer's torso in there as a replacement. I then puttied the robes around what was left of the body and used a staple as the base for the right arm. On that went the Farseer's right hand and spear, and I used a staple again as the haft of the spear.

I only got one night of painting in this week, so the Vypers only got their gems done and their first coat of orange.

I did take one Vyper to completion just to see what it looked like highlighted. The only thing I went back and changed was to add some black in the engine exhaust areas.

I'm going to go against the grain and suggest the wild riders be done in a different scheme, maybe not Saim-hann, but what about Void Dragons or Sunblitz brotherhood? the latter are known for having particularly strong ties to Lugganath....

I'll likely take one of what I painted this year for EpiComp, Norto. Getting out the rest at that point for a photo-op would probably be fun too.

I like that idea, Simon. The question then becomes do I paint SB's in the current scheme, or the old Epic scheme:

Looks sharp Dave! The gems especially contrast and pop nicely.

Thoose old colour schemes are hideous. Stick to your original plan mate.
