Here is another auction with some of the old IG troops.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....y=31399

Based on the last few auctions I do not expect this one to last at this price.

Thanks to auctions like:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....ry=2005

and

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....ry=1183

I'll bet you will start to see quite a few auctions as others try to cash in on the psycos with more money then brains.

I'm just surprised that there are still some "pristine" old IG SM1/2 sprues around and the going rate is just as surprising  !!! :o

People are just odd. Here is an auction for IG sprues that started at over $15 and it has a bid already:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....ry=1183

and yet the one I posted above started at $10 with the same number of sprues and included a Baneblade and has no bids (as of right now). Just seems odd somehow.

I guess it depends a lot upon how you label you auctions. Seeing stupid sales like these really makes me consider selling some of my Epic guardsmen off, I have a good 8 sprues sitting under my bed doing nothing!

If you check you will notice that

the one with the bid

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3128089757

is UK based and Seller ships internationally (worldwide).

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3128042997

is US based and Will ship to United States and Canada.

Jimbo,

I am unsure what your point is. Are you saying that people in the US and Canada are too smart to pay $80 for 5 sprues but people in the UK and other places are dumb enought to? ???

Because you are right that the high priced ones are all UK based auctions as well. Like this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....ry=1183

I don't know if you all saw on E-bay, 2 Hellbores (!), IG Assault Troops (weren't you looking for those Tas ?), a lot SM2 IG, etc. Might want to check it out - they are all very cheap, now ...

Always willing to help a brother out, Tas ! :;):  It amazes me how much Epic "stuff" is on E-bay.  Maybe that's why G/W said something about trying to stop it, as mentioned on another post. I don't see how they can legally do it ? ???  Plus G/W US is continuing to produce Epic from all versions, including some SM1, while G/W UK will only sell what is on hand until it's stocks run out. Weird, huh ?!   ???

I wasn't making a point, just noting the difference

on reflection, it may be that US customers can still buy Epic from GWMOUS, whereas UK customers can not buy Epic from GWMOUK - hence the differences

Jimbo,

I didn't think about the fact that GWUK is more "loyalist" in retaining selling policy. This may very well explain the difference in price being maintained.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Ah that explains why I did not understand your point, there was none ?

As for the US vs. UK I would understand if these where Bugs or Marines that are still available in the US, but these are IG and they are not available (as far as I know). Interesting though.

In any case, they can have them at those prices and I'll just wait to add to my IG and buy the new metal when it shows up.

Some old SM1/2 IG sprues on E-bay, from Scotland, I think. A lot of Epic there, 3 pages ...
