Hi!
Chaos armies look very exotic and have a baroque quality thats appelaing, but due to lack of models you may hold off until fanatic cranks some out. Otherwise you will have to pay premium prices on e-bay.

Well, I have a few things to report on today!
Part 1:
First up, these miniatures were painted eons ago, but CS wanted to see them & since only one stand of salamanders had been based previously, I figured I'd base the rest before I took some snapshots. That said, the Skinks didnt make it through the whole basing process due to a severe lack of glue which can be explained by part 2.... (see below)
Since the basing is new, I figure they count for this thread & its also a pretty good bet that CS will see them here
The Salamanders:

The lone terradon:
?
And the not-quite-completed Skinks....
Hope thats given you a decent idea of how tango-flavoured Lizardmen look when completed mate (CS)!

Part 2
And here's the little project that's taken up vast chunks of my weekend.
Those of you who have seen me posting around the web over the years will have realised that when I get my head into a project, I often get carried away. This weekend was no different.
I've decided that I like the Pit Fighter concept as put forward in part 1 of two articles in Fanatic Mag giving the rules for this new skirmish game.
I havent played it yet, but I did realise that I had the parts needed to make a relatively simple little(?) "pit". So I've spent every spare second I have been able to muster cutting balsa, plastic, card & hardboard to make one before even testing the rules!
Its not the prettiest of constructions, & it still needs some work (hen I get somemore ammo for my glue gun!) but I think its clear where I'm heading for.
As a side note, by chance I pre-ordered some "Nordic Villagers" from the Dwarf Wars range at salute. Combined with my few Mordheim "angry mob" models, they should make for a decent crowd of spectators. They also fit the style of my Norse Blood Bowl team so all I have to do now is convert a suitably Norse Pit fighter I guess..... Ho hum... another project for the never ending list!

Looks ace Tuff....now all you need is some tastefully done blood splatters on the pit floor, discarded weapons, mobs of cheering fans, lions, chariots with scythed wheels.. ...ahem.. perhaps I'm getting a little carried away.. lol
..seriously, it looks great, can't wait to see it finished!

Great work, TS - now wasn't there that young emperor, some time before Karl Franz, who used to get into the arena himself...? Got killed off by some gladiator sort, someone called Minimus or something of the sort... ,,now that could be an interesting model..

I'm actually finishing up some E40K Orks, 3 Wartraks & 4 War buggies ! Plus 2 E40K Squiggoths only dry brushed. And working on a stand of trees. I have a lot of terrain to work on too !

Heres what I did today: another little Necromunda piece- a wrecked power generator (actually the engine from a large Airfix Bently model) ...I've added some tubing to it, drilled in some bullet holes, and glued it to the base, but there is still a little to do before painting- some more debris- broken gears, mesh, girders etc, and some more bulking out with plasticine (I love it ) to sink it into the ground...

Managed to finish Assault Marine without a Jump Pack. His name is "Atrus", coming from Latin word Ater, meaning dull black or clothed in black.
Generally I'm thinking of doing a 10-man Assault Squad w/o JP's, giving them names based on the various Latin words for dark and black.

Painted up an old gargant conversion heavily inspiired by Krooza's excelllent "Kustom Kunvershuns".
Also tried to slightly re-model the Silvertowers. I like them better now though they're stilll no beauty for the eye to behold... I'll try to finish the paintjob and reserve final judgement until then.
Cheers!

And the Towers. I shortened the side towers slightly giving the model an overall better balance and added more flames to the centre.
Cheers!
