Hi folks,

I'm currently collecting a Stygian army and thought I would give you a quick squint at the first few models painted. These are the Phantom Barges that will soon be transporting my Hunters around :

I initially tried a combination of purple and bone but didn't have enough shades
of purple to make this work. I know that green and bone works well as a
combination so have gone for this. Not very Stygian I know....
Lovely models bought from the nice Mr Vanguard.

These have yet to be based up. I have been inspired by another Stygian
player on this forum who has tried a crackle effect. Very nice idea. My
Stygians will eventually be based up with a crackle winter theme so that
they can be used with this terrain (with suitable changes for Epic) :

Painting these models has re-affirmed my love affair with Badab Black.
Just love the effect this has.

Five units of Ghasts next in the painting queue....

Cheers,

Phil

Nice work Phil I look forward to seeing more, very nice terrain too you could use that village for a 40k low tech backwater world which would be just ripe for raiding and taking slaves.

A friend gave me the building as a freebie on the condition that
I paint it up ready for the next game. ;D

Possibly a Snapdragon...

I've taken a couple more pics for your amusement... (trying to
go for a very uncared for vibe - lots of grime - I wouldn't want
to drink out of the two ponds out front !!)

Thanks chaps,

I've now moved onto the Ghast Jetbikes and am about 40% through 5 formations. I'll post pics when these are done. Much quicker to paint these now that the basic colour design has been finalised. Lovely little models.

I'm now really looking forward to the new Stygian designs in the pipeline.

Cheers,

Phil

Hi folks,

I've just finished painting the Stygians bought to date and thought I would let you have a glance.

Stygian Ghast Jetbikes hurtle into a devastated City Square :

Phantom Barges swiftly follow, filled with eager Stygians and hunting for slaves :

Image

The troops leap out :

Image

Grimly respectful silence falls as the Archon appears, protected by his
personal guard and Wych lifewards :

Meanwhile, in a nearby street, Wyches perform their hideous rites :

Thats all for now....
