I like the original. More armor spoils the theme.

I must admit, I thought you were going to go for the bigger, two hull or catarmaran design for this one!

It still looks good as it is. =)

I was thinking pilot in a bubble / behind a shield stuck on the side, gunner as was behind the deal as previous.

Both open from the sides to small arms.

Was what exactly is in the pipe posted somewhere?

I'd be interested in:

Leaders for Phantom Guard, Gliders, Gargoyles, Ghasts, Hunters and Slayers (less than 5 each)
Leaders for Carvers (20ish)
Commander for Phantom Guard or Hunters (less than 5 each)
Supreme Commander for Phantom Guard or Hunters
Big Transport Barge (3x bigger, 2 cannons like the phantom barge, a long range AP gun, and a barragy gun)
Big Gun Barge (3x bigger, 2 bigger cannons, 2 long range AP gun, and a barragy gun)
Big Parasite Rig (2x bigger, claws and barragy gun)
Aircraft
giant Phantom Guard-esque robot

Actually I love the original design it conveys speed and firepower and still has the feel and look of the other skimmers.

My votes for the mk1 unchanged these guys/gals are not about armour but speed in my mind anyway.

Looking forward to the catarmaran thingy.

Like ir but would like som more armour on it. Maybe a more shieldee driver. It also needs to be atleast 50% bigger than the earlier transports. It will probably be used alit as a peoxie for a DC3 Skimmer...

The next vehicle will probably more what you're looking for - this is meant to be a light vehicle based on the current chassis with a tank busting weapon.

I think the addition of a little asymmetry might be in order here. An armoured driver pod/thingy/cockpit/whatever on the side might make this work a bit better. For some reason the single guy firing and driving just breaks the suspension of disbelief for me. =/

The driver in these tanks is located in the hull - so that guy is just the gunner.

Yes, assymetrical and bulkier describes best how i would want it!

However, I'm surprised the original design isn't more liked - I loved it! Keeps the "low armor" feel of the line - and utilizes a familiar hull but fills a new role (I want it to have the same armor value as the others - or at least look that way... BUT - I generally stick to the input of the fans.

I like the original design much better!

I like the original more. The gun looks almost like an artillery cannon put on a speeder. So the definition of badass!

Original is the best by far! The armored one gives me a VERY uncharacteristic urge to press some rumpled clothes...

Yeah I think I'll stick with the original design with a few tweaks - it fits right in there, and actually does look bulkier than the others already:
