Secure the intel


A recon Thunderhawk (insert appropriate craft or monster) has been shot down while carrying vital intel place the objective a central belt on the map.

Attacker must secure the intel

The Defender must secure and destroy the intel.

to achieve this uncontested control of the objective for 1 turn.

These are all great ideas. For anyone who is interested, on the Facebook page "Epic Space Marine 40K" they have some scenarios for 2nd edition SM from White Dwarf in a document several posts down. For some reason this stupid iPad won't let me copy a URL. Apple are motherlovers.

Assasination

Attacker must engage enemy troops and take as few casualties as possible while eliminating a high value target.


Defender receives double victory points for each unit broken and objective taken.

Attacker writes down a high value target from the defenders list (ie a command unit or some such) and must kill the target as quickly as possible and recover the remains as proof of the deed (probably either in close combat or they can be shot and the body collected) (stops that beardy turn 1 barrage :P )

Take and Hold

Attacker must choose a vital strategic location in no mans land. To win he must secure the location and hold it for 5 turns to win (IE until reinforcements arrive) if the location is lost after occupation the victory count is reset


Defender Must stop the attacker at all costs and may only gain victory points by holding the strategic location or breaking/destroying enemy units.
