Absolutely top drawer. Have you ever thought of doing commissions? ;)

No worries, thanks for spotting it :) As it's a competition entry I'd rather it was right....

It's something I've toyed with doing for 40k in the past, as a few people have asked for their own Thunderhawks after seeing my scratch build here, but I never really had the time. Since moving and settling here, and having a dedicated hobby space, its definitely something I'd consider getting in to ;)

Your skills are certainly good enough to do it! :)

Holy Thread revival batman!

Last month was a bit of a quiet one on the Epic front, as I got engrossed in painting a Fantasy Wizard on Dragon for a competition - As the theme was 'anything goes' I went a bit overboard with it and ended up taking a fe day off work to get it finished (wife's idea and approved by my boss!). If anyone is interested, you can see the finished piece here and a 3d image here

Getting back on track with Epic stuff (which I think has been neglected for a while), I'm looking at working on our Titan Legion alongside my marines...

Ive started off with a pair of Warhounds as test pieces, and have my first Imperator lined up and on the painting table / Spray booth.

Our Titan Legion is going to be split into three parts. Each of our marine chapters has elements attached to it - probably a pair of warhounds and a reaver. The main legion will consist of the rest of our engines - a pair of Reaver Battle Groups, a number of warlords, and a few packs of warhounds - with the centre piece being the Imperator Titan. The colour scheme has a couple of 'accent areas' put aside to mark the titan as either Legion, or attached to a Marine Chapter.

In this case, the Electric Blue denotes the warhounds as being assigned to my Marines (who are painted to be used as either Red Scorpions, Smurfs or Pre Heresy Worl Eaters-ish). Lis's Marines will have a purple accent (her own chapter, or Pre Heresy Emperors Children), whilst I think the Legion itself will have a pastel green accent.

Next up will be the Imperator, along with a few more warhounds I think.

Thanks m8 :) Got round to getting another two done, and managed to finish up the centrepiece to our current Legio. I lost some time this month due to family issues, but still managed to hit the deadline for the comp I'm entering 'him' into :)

Thanks guys. I enjoyed painting the Imperator much more this time round (did a black/red one 20 years ago when it was first released) although I think I prefer the newer style titan models with the 'less rounded' surfaces. The plan now is to flesh the legion out and continue with the marine chapter. I've also base coated the first units for the armoured division so will hopefully make some progress with them soon too.

With the competition out of the way now, I'm pretty much back to focusing on my epic marines. Current state of play is that I have the following completed:

Chapter Command:
Commander, Chaplain, Librarian, Techmarine, Apothecary

Legio Contingent:
Warhound Titan Pack

Battle Brothers:
2nd Battle Company
7th Tactical Company
9th Devastator Company
10th Recon Company (counts-as-ravenwing)

Support Units:
Dreadnought Squad, Vindicator Squad, Robot Detachment, Grey Knights Detachment, Whirlwind Detachment

Next up on the painting table I have:

Guard Support:
Stormhammer Company
Stormblade Company
Shadowsword Company
Hydra Detachment

Battle Brothers:
3rd Battle Company
4th Battle Company
12th Land Raider Company

Support Units
1st Thunderhawk Squadron, Whirlwind Detachment, Drop pods

Will post up pics over the next few days of the completed units, and the undercoated units to come.
