Nice selection of stuff, and love the Cosmic Pharoahs too! Sorry to hear about the troubles with printing.

Thank you!

I've got more planned for the Cosmic Pharaohs (a light cruiser, cruiser and a battleship to begin with)... I just have to figure out how to deal with the Shapeways people!

Hey everyone!

Production update! It appears all Rising Star ships are printable, except one of the torpedo cruisers (but not the other)...

I'll try to update the same file once again and buy it myself, and see if they print it this time!

Holy cow, that is SO going to happen! Thanks a lot for the heads up!

Are there ship illustrations on the other Horus Heresy fw books, too?

Yeah there's a picture of the Iron Hands fleet breaking warpspace and another of the orbital defenses being taken out during the drop on Isstvan V

Here some more Heresy era ships you might want to try out:

Hi guys!

Inspired by brumbaer, I tried to model a quick fortress wall for 6mm scale gaming...

It's quite simple, and generic, but I kinda like it!

A single wall module:

Three modules in a row:

And to give an idea of the size, I put some "bases" on top: starting from left, 20mm square, 40mm by 10mm, and 25mm round:

Once I've decided the details, I'm planning to do a gate section, some towers, a corner section and possibly a higher wall; what do you guys think?

I'd buy some :) I have a project where those would come in handy.

Hi guys, glad you like it!

Today, I tried to see how much would it cost to print an outpost like this (fits 16 bases on top):

Turns out it would cost roughly 48 euros to print in White strong and flexible (more than twice as much in Frosted ultra detail)...

I am inclined towards making a basic structure to be printed in WSF, and perhaps make an optional pack of details to be printed in FUD.... what do you guys think? Is the price too high?

48 euros is a bit steep. Can't they be hollowed out or something to cut cost?

It's okay if they aren't hi-res; A rough surface is fine for fortifications.

I'm afraid they are already hollow, the walls are at the minimum thickness to be printable...

I guess I could remove the rear wall, but then they wouldn't be self supporting!

Sigh. I was dreaming of the walls of MegaCity One. I guess I'll have to settle for a small outpost, then :/

If there was a huge saving in cost, then sure. I could plasticard those parts up, or build them into hillsides or something. If it's 25% or less, then never mind.
