Well, it's been almost a year since TOEG2010 started, so TOEG2011 anyone?

I realise that people have started new plogs, including 2011 logs already since the start of 2010, but starting as group can provide added motivation. If people are interested id suggest September 1st as a start date again, giving three weeks to get planning now before the start.

For those unfamiliar with Tale of Epic Gamers:
Each participant commits to paint 500 points (in EA, or a comparable amount of E:40k/NetEpic) or more of epic a month and show their progress in a project log in the Tale of Epic Gamers forum section. The purpose of TEOG is to encourage people to finish a playable army over a period of 5–6 months (or more).

Last year had a bumper batch of participants resulting in some stunning armies ranging from eldar exodites to chaos squats (shameless plug ). these projects can bee seen in this fourm section and are indexed in the stiky. Some of my personal favourites included:

I am in. I will need a little bit more time to finish up my Squats (already started plog). Then I can join in with Tyranids, AdMech, Eldar or Necron.

count me in for Ulthwe. I've so far managed to paint 5 falcons and an avatar in 2 years, so it's not like I can do any worse

I almost finished a phantom for my Eldars last year. Count me in !

That's the spirit I also failed to complete an army in '09 and '10 but at least i got more painted than i would do normally. I've actually barley touched a paintbrush since my last TOEG10 update and since Christmas haven't really been very active on taccom either, so im looking forward to getting back into the hobby properly after a brief pause.

Unfortunately this lack of activity on the painting front has not stopped me buying more minis and having ideas for new armies. On and off I've been considering considering:

Legio cybernetica
Exodites
Dark mechanicus
Tzeentch deamons (stage magic/illusion/circus theme)
And an army with a titan called Admiral Duckington featuring a war engine class rubber duck, on tracks, with guns. O and giant mutant space crabs, don't forget the space crabs that shall accompany the Duckington. (probably going with this one for TOEG11, but im sure i can change my mind multiple times in the next three weeks)

And in my more sensible moments I've also thought of doing thousand sons, knights, minervans or more khrone. But that would be too simple, as I own the models to do these armies already
