...I just finished a couple more of my Goliaths- check the little 'painted goliaths' pic in the Necromunda section: here ...it turned out rather small, so I'll try to get a better one sometime soon...

Alas no pictures here (or on my workbench) but I am currently working on my FW Ork Gunwagons (eventually), they are made and undercoated white. I am intending to paint them red and green.
For non Epic stuff I am working on my Daemonhunters army, and I am in the process of making a Grey Knights Landspeeder, the conversion is done (except the crew) and is ready for undercoating and painting.
I am also working on some more Orks for my WH40K Ork army, and I am working on something rather special...
My real issue at the moment is my Daemonhunter Stormtroopers, I am using Cadian Kaskrin but my original painting plans fell apart as my preferred colour, desert yellow, does not cover very well. I don't want to paint them as Inquisitorial Stormtroopers so that I can use them as "normal" Imperial Guard if required. My original colour plan was to paint them desert yellow, chestnut ink wash, highlight desert yellow and then an additional highlight of desert yellow and bleached bone. You can see a working example, with my assassin.

The problem is that the desert yellow does not cover the washed desert yellow!
The new scheme I am thinking of, is Steve Shepherd's scheme in the current UK WD, page 57, which is a snow theme.

I've spent more time working on my website than painting my own stuff, but a couple of New units for the Desert Ferrin are on the way & some 40K Eldar I've been working on.
The larger scale stuff can be seen on My Workbench
I hope to finish the New Epic pieces in the next couple of days & get them added to the main galleries.
Whilst here, I'll risk another blatant add and say that for anyone who's interested, the Mercenary Brush has had another large update today & continues to grow every week at the moment - We'll hopefully be adding a third painter to our ranks soon as well!

Simply incredible! I've allways disliked miniatures trying to mimic the face of an actor (or real life person for that matter) because the result was usually pretty corny at best. That miniature on the other hand really explains why Citadel is at the top of the market! If the rest of the LOTR minis are up to the same standard i might consider buying a few character miniatures myself for display pieces.
Cheers!

Tuff, how much would you charge commission if someone wanted a model like that Theoden (Or any other LotR model for that matter) at that quality?
It's just I have a friend who is mad on LotR and loves the models, but isn't all that crazy about trying his hand at painting.
Cheers
Chris

Chris | For cabinet quality LotR miniatures, you're looking at ?15-30 a pop. This theodon will be at the higher end (or above) of that when he's done - He's going to be a competition piece if all goes to plan.
Esrik and myself have painted almost 20 full fellowships between us & are getting rather bored of them, but we're still happy to take on a couple more if you're friend's interested , although I am now effectively fully booked myself until March (Esrik has some time, and there's a thrid painter who hasnt officially joined the Mercenary Brush group yet who might have some time - he's top notch.).

The Gargant is for my New Ork army - for some reason I chose one of the biggest units in the Ork inventry to trial run a Bad Moonz paint scheme. But I was quite pleased with it so its now one of a few pieces I've got done ahead of time!
As for the leviathan, I managed to get 4 in a trade recently. 1 is replacing the OGRE in my Desert Ferrin Army, 1 I'm keeping "Just in case" and unfortunately, I cant justify keeping the other two so they will both be sold - the one you mention is already on my for sale page

I am feeling rather devoid of inspiration at the moment so I decided it was time to properly cataglogue my neewly aquired stuff and see just how much I have...and how much more I need!
The process continues....

To fill in some time I have painted up an Assault Company and a det of IG Bikers that I have been meaning to get around to for ages.
It took my mind off opening multitudes of boxes looking for that elusive blister I'm sure I bought some years ago...
