Cheers Borka! Our game was easily the most enjoyable one for me at Gothcon this year in spite of my boyz going down in a blaze of glory. (I admit it, I'm the only one who lost to the newbie with his shiny necrons). Maybe I should aimed more for the phalanxes and less for the monoliths. It was quite satisfying to take them out however. If only I'd have had more staying power... Oh well. :)

Nice to some convention pics from hinsidans :) I sold a ordinatus to a Swede last month so I know you must be playing epic over there, but how large is the community? And do you have a forum :)

We are a handful of ea-players here in Copenhagen, and if any of you Swedes live close by, you should definitely check out Giant Fanatic in the fall.

And nice armies, Borka. Lovely necrons! We have neither necron nor orc players here :)

Cheers,
Thomas

Thomas,
There are some EA-players in Göteborg but we're not really organized and several are concerned with real life stuff such as raising children and stuff. There's usually a tournament at Gothcon each year. I know there are a bunch of fellows in Uppsala also. Borka can possibly fill you in on the (hopefully) growing scene in the royal capital.

I'll take a look at Giant Fanatic, have fond memories of the last time I went there for a Warmachine tournament. If I can land a new job soon I'll try to make it. When is the last date for sign-up? Does it fill up fast?

Also, not sure I understand "hinsidans" correctly but to clarify, the convention was in Göteborg on Sweden's front side. ;)

In Danish we use hinsidan as meaning across Øresund :) I know it means in the afterlife...

GF isn't until October I think and the EA spots will correspond to the interest, so if 6 people sign up, there'll be 6 places :) Last year we were 6 players incl. 2 from Jutland. This year we aim for more, and I have solemnly promised to not drink anyone under the table, so everybody is able to attend the Sunday games (incl. myself) :D

I'll make sure GF is announced in due time on the tournament board.

Borka,
Very nice Necrons. How did you make the Pylons-if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah there are some of us. One problem with Sweden, I think, is that it's a rather long country so the distances can be a problem. I had a 500km drive to the tournament. We are about three people in Stockholm where I live that have started playing at a store called dragons lair and there are some more as well that haven't joined jet. And from what I gathered at the tournament (we were 7 who took part), there are some small communities spread around the country.

We don't have a forum, but I talked a bit with the eldar player I played that we should probably try and get one. He told me he knows the guy that started http://www.svenska40k.se and he's going to check there to see if we might get a "40k specialist games" subforum. I've lurked some around your forum btw, some great stuff for sure. I love your blast markers.

Thanks for a great game!

And the real life stuff for me as well makes is so that I might have a hard time going to GF. Going away for three days when you have 3 kids aged 5 and under, isn't very popular. But I made a deal with my wife in january that if I managed to drop 8 kilo's of weight till easter then I could go to gothcon. I like a lot of nerds had some extra weight around the belly button :P :D
I had 12 weeks and after 7 weeks I was down by 9 kilos ;D So my tip of the day is to try LCHF if you need to lose weight guys it actually works! :)

I'll see what I can come up with this time... O0

Thomas I enjoyed the event at Gothcon and I've started thinking about maybe arranging some sort of tournament/weekend-campaign in the fall, like in november. You'd be more than welcome to join us in that case if you promise to talk slowly ;)

Ok time for another update. I've been doing some ork stuff the last few days, mainly working on the last of the three warbands of my warlords
'Uge formation. I try to do converte each single nob at least a little bit. I haven't bothered taking any pictures of the ordinary boyz or grots
as there's no converting involved.

Here are some pictures

The two nob units.

I've also started doing some work on one of the 5 gunwagons I'll need for my three blitz formations.
These are WIP pictures, I need to fill in some gaps with green stuff.

That's all for now!

Cheers!

I like the ork command stands with the banner bearer and little conversions make these look very cool, Look forward to seeing them painted ;)

Regards epic
