I'm thinking of using one of the Lysander spotter plane/landing pad "weapons" on one of my Nova Guard titans. Does anyone have any good advice for making/acquiring one? At the moment I'm thinking I might use a penny for the pad itself with some scratchbuilt edging, not sure what to do about the fighter.

I think Vaaish is working on one for an Ordinatus just now, should be worth a look when it's done.

That's what I'm waiting to see.
I had thoughts of flipping a 25mm round base over and capping it with textured plasticard, but I'm guessing that would look like just what it is :-[

sorry guys, nothing really groundbreaking. I was planning on building up something that looked about like the FW aeronotica large landing pad with a support understructure and small fighter similar to the lysander.

there will be some adjustments since it needs to be smaller and doesn't need to have the ramp on the side, but it'll be very similar.

I'll be interested to see what you come up with :) I wasn't planning on making mine octagonal because it's going to be mounted on the back of a Reaver (magnetised so it can be swapped), and all the Titans are the old types with the curving hulls instead of the boxy ones, so a pad with straight edges would look out of place IMHO. I might see if I can get hold of and mod a Micro Machines plane for the fighter...

Mine is built from plasticard - thick card for the platform, and thinner pieces for railings:

It's glued in place, but I think it could be magnetized fairly easily.
