So how many of us got to keep their forum identity over at spartan games? I did.

Ok, bad phone photo but here you are

The hull on the carrier is a KoB Battleship so I'd expect cruised to be half size with frigates quarter or so.

Prussian cruisers are 8cm from stern to bow, with the Frigates half that length, and are very crisp and nice miniatures. I am now just waiting for my Prussian battlefleet... and my Japanese battlefleet!

Despite a mail to Neil maybe two month ago, I think my inscription never got validated. I will mail him again but I find the procedure cumbersome and am a bit pissed off at the moment. I mean, on the other hand, I never needed to go through such steps when I ordered from them.

I will keep the same ID there if I ever get an account... just sent another reminder to Neil, so maybe one day I'll join the forum...

Really, manual forum account validation ? I thought that stuff disappeared even before we entered the 3rd millennium 10 years ago.

Even this forum has got manual account validation, it took nearly 3 days to activate my account .... I think this stuff will even prevail til 41st millennium ... ;)

Very nice miniatures, are there people playing yet? I would really like to read a battle report. Does anyone know how much 2 playable armies including rules etc would cost?

I haven't played yet.
If only since the miniatures I ordered have not arrived yet. :(

I'll have two gaming buddies to play this game with; one with Prussians (Naval Battle Group+carrier) , the other ordered simply all Naval Battle Groups plus all carriers available.
I myself will have the Japanese and US.

As for batreps; have you seen this one?

Thx for the link !
I really like the prussian design, being of prussian ancestry explains a lot. And the british design is very nice too.
The prussian Zeppelin is simply a beauty, Spartan Games talks of another airship, I'm eager to see this one.
When I'm done with painting at least 5k points of E:A Steel Legion I might have a go on these candies ... ::)

I like this kind of presentation, pictures and comments, no cam wobbling around.
He sounds a little bit bored ... but this might be the "american style" ... :-\
Nice battles they had ...

Matt and I finally bit and got starter sets last night at our FLGS. I the Prussians and he the Brits. The models are very good. I was surprised how much they fit in a starter set for you, given that a SM Landing Craft is about the same price now...

Yeah, it seems like a pretty good value. You get a battleship, 3 cruisers, 9 frigates, 10 fighter bases, and 2 bombers, along with stat cards, markers, and templates in a naval battle group box for ~ US$55

A sample of the ships:

Documentation. Given the fleet I chose, I thought the magnet I picked up at the Imperial War Museum in the middle of the first pic seemed appropriate ;)

Go Navy! (or whatever the Royal Navy folks say)

The counters and templates are so well laminated and pretty I almost feel bad cutting them up to use for the game :P

And finally, a size comparison with a baneblade, chaos dread and chaos standard bearer:

If the aircraft bases are the same size as the small vehicle base, some of the larger land ships and armored vehicles could be useable for epic.

My Britanian fleet arrived yesterday too. Simple wonderful models. Better read the rules now I guess!

Would you say they're all one-piece mold castings? That is, there are no visible mold lines?
