An attempt at some stats that would be a bit more balanced:

Eldar Shadow Spectre
Type Speed Armour CloseCombat Firefight
Infantry 15cm 5+ 6+ 6+
Weapon Range Firepower Notes
Prism rifles (15cm) Small Arms -
Ghostlight 45cm AT4+ Lance

Notes: Jumppacks, Invulnerable Save, Teleport.

Poor FF because AT type weapons rarely grant good FF ratings in Epic (Though TBH FF5+ would easily be justified from their 40k stats, so I've artificially nerfed them a bit there to balance them).
Might even want to take the Ghostlight up to AT5+.

I think FF 5+ is ok, they are better at killing tanks but they also have a mean effect on troops, and can someone remind me what the current jumppack rule is?

What, the Tau Jetpack rule?

It lets you move 10cm after shooting when doing an Advance or Double move.

Dang, I would have thought they'd have used the lynx chassis (not yet released) as the basis for a warp hunter.

I heard the Lynx is getting the Revenant class weapons.

Yeah, but it looks like a warp hunter.

Anyway, looking at the rules for the warp hunter, how about these stats for it:

Eldar Warp Hunter
Type Speed Armour CloseCombat Firefight
AV 35cm 5+ 6+ 5+
Weapon Range Firepower Notes
twin-linked shuiken catapults (15cm) Small Arms -
Warp Hunter D-Cannon 30cm MW4+ TK(1)

Notes: Skimmer

Basically it's a night spinner or fire prism with a diufferent gun. I think it ought to hit on a 4+ to represent the poor to-hit value offset by the auto-wound ability. TK because it ignores fields.

Since it's a light D-Cannon, how about half a BP (With MW TK(1)) ?

The standard Epic D-Cannon is 2BP with MW and TK IIRC?

Standard Epic convention is to round up, so 1 or 2 would have 1BP, 3 or 4 would have 2BP, and 5 would have 3BP.

I'm not sure, but it isn't clear what sized blast template it is supposed to use in the 40k rules - I'm assuming the small blast template. As it is, I think the progression from support weapon to Cobra has 2 possible paths:

SWP: 30cm MW5+
Warp Hunter: 30cm MW4+ TK(1)
Cobra: 30cm BP2 TK(D3+1)

OR

SWP: 30cm MW5+
Warp Hunter: 30cm BP1 MW
Cobra: 30cm BP2 TK(D3+1)

I don't think it should be both TK and BP. I think it should be one or the other, just for the sake of balance. I think the non BP version better matches the 40k stats (and is less abusive in E:A, assuming a squadron of 3 of these guys).

Either way, these guys will be a pain to use and to face. The most sledgehammer-y soap bubbles in the arsenal.

BP1 makes sense to me then, the gun's a lot larger than the little support platform.

The only Wh40k difference from the Support Weapon Platform's D-Cannon and the Warp Hunter's D-Cannon is the range.
SWP D-Cannon has 24" while the WH D-Cannon has 36". As the Epic SWP D-Cannon already has a range of 30cm the WH D-Cannon seems to be identical.
The only special thing is that the WH D-Cannon has the Aether-Rift.

Does the Cobra have 40k rules at this time for comparative purposes?

Yes.

Support Weapon Platform D-Cannon: Range: 24", Strength *, Armourpiercing 2, 2"Blast, Heavy 1, Barrage
Warp Hunter D-Cannon: Range: 36", Strength *, Armourpiercing 2, 2"Blast, Heavy 1, Barrage
Cobra D-Cannon: Range: 48", Strength D, Armourpiercing 2, Ordnance 1, 10" Blast, Destroyer, Primary Weapon

All D-Cannons bypass Void Shields and Power Fields.
* = Wounds always on 2+. On a roll of 6 it also causes Instand Death. Vehicles always get a glancing hit on a 3 or 4 and a penetrating hit on 5 or 6.

The Cobra's D-Cannon always inflicts Instand Death if they wound it's victim. With Strength D it also auto-penetrates armour and gets a +1 on the damage table.

So the Cobra's D-Cannon is much, much more powerful, then, which means the Warp Hunter definitely shouldn't be BP.

A ranged MW shot does make sense then.

Anyone want to drop some background on these guys for our collective reading?

I agree that AT2+ lance would be hideous. Assuming 6 to a formation, that is six AT2+ lance shots for a core formation that shoots 60cm. Forget trying to balance it against the other aspects... You'd have a devil of a time balancing it against the Swords of Vaul formations! Even at AT4+ lance it is going to be a major competitor.

Perhaps it has a home in a specific craftworld? That would make it a lot easier to cope with.

Only this:
Quote:
Disguised behind shimmering holo-fields, draped with gossamer-thin robes and appearing like ghosts, the Shadow Spectres are armed with prism rifles, each a potent anti-tank weapon. Their jet pack mobility allows them to hunt down their chosen targets with the implacable patience of the dead, materialising seemingly from the very air to unleash their overwhelming firepower.

Believed long lost by the Eldar’s Seers, this detailed full resin kit, sculpted by Simon Egan, contains 5 of these mysterious and deadly Aspect Warriors.
Experimental rules for the Shadow Spectres Aspect Warriors are available to download from the Forge World website, taken from the desk of Imperial Armour writer Warwick Kinrade.

The full story of the discovery of the Shadow Spectres will be featured in Imperial Armour Volume 11: The Doom of Mymeara, released later this year.
