Yes, I sent some of my spare bases to L-4.

Oh, you meant the straight holed bases? I'm making some in resin now to sell to L-4.

Eh, you must have meant E&C's plastic base plan. I don't know.

Is it not just simpler to use round Battle of Five Army bases (25mm circular and the same height as Warmaster ones) and just cut off or file down the cicular bases from the individual infantry? That's what I'm doing.

At the moment?  Yes.  If Renedra, against all odds, decided to make circular recessed bases?  No. ;)

I didn't realise GW sold BofA bases seperately, until now, and it's tempting.  But they cost the same as rectangular warmaster bases: 28p each.  Renedra's 20x40 bases cost 1p each.

And I don't mind unrecessed circles, and I'm no stranger to time-consuming labours of love, but I don't fancy the idea of filing down all those individual infantry bases...

Third reason: I all but gave up going direct to GW for bases, years ago.  Slottabases, epic bases, whatever.  I dug this thread up to say that Renendra's my third source of non-GW warmaster bases, and I think I'll be sticking with these ones.  And to reinforce my vote for Renedra recessed strip bases, when they appear.

If they appear.

Um.

Any news?

I'd also wanted to add my interest to the idea of Renedra's Epic compatible recessed bases, especially if they're going to have some with 4 recesses... One can dream, right?

A ø25mm punch and a ø6mm drill with a leading point. Would give you round bases with any number of holes anywhere you want. I got my punch on eBay and a suitable drill from the local DIY-shop.

The irony is that's what I was doing with black plasticard, when I saw E&C's announcement, back at the start of this topic.  I dunno, it'd do at a pinch, but I just prefer proper, accurate, manufactured polystyrene bases.  Nice and neat, straight sides, sturdy and no splinters, must wash hands, germs everywhere, must wash hands.
