Areas of change being considered:
Slaughterfiend - Reducing the speed back to 20cm. As a general assault unit, these would be fine and worth testing further, however with the
Transport ability, this appears to be quite a significant boost for an assault force. Especially when the
Bloodride ability is being reduced in effectiveness as a deterrent.
-
Bloodride: Currently units have to make a Dangerous Terrain test (DTT) each time the Slaughterfiend makes anything more than an Advance. This can have an effect of very little if any units being left other than Slaughterfiends by the time they get into an assault. This was not the intention of the rule when originally envisioned.
After the game vs Tau, there was a discussion to only perform a DTT when units mount up. While mounted, they do not need to make further tests. This along with the reduction in movement for the same points appears to be a reasonable change. The only question I have now is whether the unit can start 'mounted' on the Slaughterfiend at the start of the game.
Blood Slaughterer: Currently I have each of these priced at 50 points as an upgrade. This is the same as a Chaos Dreadnought at the moment. For the role they play, and the extra abilities (infiltrator, Invulnerable Save) that they gain over a Dreadnought, I believe they are underpriced. I will trial them as an upgrade priced at 2 for 125 points and see how I go.
Quote:
"Blood Slaughterer Onslaught" and consists of 3-5 Blood Slaughterers Packs each composed of 3 Blood Slaughterers.
I have this on the 'back-burner' at the moment as I am not convinced that this will add anything to the force. It will just be another unit that really is not adding anything to the list that is not already available through existant units and upgrades. This will be reviewed after more playtests.

General formatting and error checking is still required.
More reviewing of the document will continue in line with battle reports as well.
