I've always wanted to see an elevated highway for modern/sci-fi games.  It seems that wars in the future would be fought in and around multi-level highways with wrecked ramps, etc.  (you said pie-in-the-sky, right?)

Didn't you plan to do a Stormbird at some point?

That sounds like a good option !

Oh yeah. BFG aircraft in Epic scale would be fun. It's been some time since I checked up on BFG lore but they're supposed to be fairly large compared to athmospheric aircraft right?

A less interesting (from your perspective), but very usefull nevertheless, would be architectural fittings such as pilastres, buttresses, etc. These could be mounted on spures for faster reproduction.

hmmm...

In Battlefleet Gothic ordnance are these for Eldar:

Eldar:
Nightwing
Phoenix
Vampire

I believe these are already in Epic, right?

Now...if you did an escort like the Cobra or Sword.... try to scale down a 800-100metres long ship I say.

I was thinking more about the Imperial aircraft. Starhawk bomber (?) etc. It certainly doesn't seem to be consistent as Orks use Fighta Bommerz. Howwever Imperial and Chaos fleets seem to have specific space ordnance.I just seem to recall a note from the rulebook that these were larger than the athmospheric aircraft, but I could certainly be wrong. :)

Actually the Imperial boarding craft might be interesting: It could make a fun Imperial dropship/transport craft.

I've been musing on something like this since looking at the plastic leg supports that hold up GW's new plastic Skyshield Landing Pad and thinking they'd be perfect for holding a great big highway or similar high in the air.

You'd need to remove the steps from the back but that should be simple enough and it has great big Imperial Eagles and nice iconography on and does look kind of similar to the supports holding up a motorway near where I used to live.

I guess Starhawk Bobmers would be the size of Thunderhawks. In one novel they are described to be armed with Turbolasers.
Fury Interceptors are huge too. IIRC it was Warriors of Ultramar which featured some. It has a crew of 4 (or 2?).

The Imperial navy already have the Marauder, T-bolt and Lightning in several variants in Epic scale. However they don't have a transport aircraft (if you don't count the Valkyrie). That's why I think the Shark assault boat might be interesting. Something roughly the size of a Thunderhawk capable of transporting a  platoon of infantry might be interesting for highly mobile IG armies like Elysians or even Skitarii.

SG version

FW version

I prefer the SG design if it is to be upscaled basically we're talking something roughly like the Marine landing craft (only smaller) but with a full body capable of carrying infantry extended all the way to the rear engines and wings.

AM sounds cool :) Is Vision of War that collectable card game thing they did? There was some nice AM art in there.

yes, i was mainly talking about imperial craft also. although if someone wanted to make the eldar pirate fighter and bomber ide probably want some of those also. i had given some thought to trying to build an imperial assault boat myself.

As an alternative to tracks, consider drills...

Termite, Mole and Hellebore?

And you might look at Dark Eldar stuff too. There are certainly no tracks there  :)
