1) got it. problem is, common sense telling me that at least Warlord is clearly taller than forest, but mind replyes that there's logic and balance thing in that rule.
2) I mean that when I'm shooting, there's no infantry to place hits. so one possibility is that shots are wasted. another - that shooting takes some time and AP weaponry still hits those SMs, who crawl from their vehicle in panic )
which one is right?
3) I didn't mean "I march" :) I mean that
1) when I need markers on those titan/SHT/etc, I need to get within 30cm and do not use march(as marching units cannot light up the targets)
2) so I need to use either advance(move 35 and shoot) or double(move 70 and shoot with -1)
3) as only weaponry of tetra is pulse rifle with ap5+ it's not so good to use against anyone
4) as I'm near to titan/SHT/etc, I can shoot and at least BM them)

thanks, anyway

Am I right, that if War Engine(e.g. Baneblade) is fired with TK weapon(d3) and lost two DC, I roll 2 dices to get critical?

Yes.  Every point of damage to a WE causes a roll to critical, regardless of source.  Even a bonus point of damage from a critical can cause another critical and "chain reaction" a WE to death.

Is there any good way to deal with big formation of LemanRusses? 4+ reinforced armour makes my Hammerheads cry for help, even broadsides  on sustain can't deal significant damage to that beasts. is CC the only possible way?

They're just really tough.

Lay BMs.  Use Crossfire.  Clipping assaults (20cm move means Russ can only countercharge 5cm).  I hate playing against Russ because they are so hard to get a bite on.  However, once you have them with a couple kills and decent number of BMs, they start folding.  Once you have them hurting, pour on the pressure.

Titans - are they somewhere allowed to see "above" terrain? In vassal it's hard to realise, what terrain is smaller than it and what is bigger, so we just use it as los blocker(can see into 10cm, can't see through)

On a game table, you can use real LoS.  On Vassal... you're going to have to agree with your opponent.

when I shoot at mechanised infantry formation(IG on chimeras or SM on rhino etc) can I shoot AP and AT, and move AP shots to the infantry disembarked from dead (by AT fire) transport? I suppose no

No.  All hit allocation is done before saves.  If there are no AP targets to allocate the fire to, the shots are lost.  You don't get to rewind and pick them up.

is it normal and "fair" when everybody moving closely to titans/heavy tanks shoot at them with AP fire to lay marker? I used my tetras for it(as they are in place for other things than shooting, and markers are banned on march), and feel myself somehow... cheaty )))

Perfectly fair and, as far as I'm concerned, not at all cheesy.

This may be an incredibly stupid question, but can a unit fire all of its weapons during a shooting action, or does it have to pick one?

Typically yes.

As in, "Yes, it can fire all weapons."   :agree:

Well some weapons might have an OR mode, where you'd have to decide which mode to use, or it might have an Arc that can't see the target, but typically, yes. :)

Ok, I'm sure this is just my reading comprehension skills letting me down, but I have no real idea how to interpret the titan weapon options.

For instance, the Warlock:

2x missile launch
1x psychic lance

OR

0-1 titan pulsar
0-1 power fist
OR (fist mounted lasers)
OR (fist attack)

So, generally speaking, what does that mean? I can take the first two weapons listed, or a pulsar and power fist, or a pulsar and either fist mounted lasers or fist attack? And why would the pulsar and power fist be 0-1? Presumably i can only take one of each anyway.

I have no idea how to read that...

The Phantom is:

2x missile launcher
1-2 titan pulsar
0-1 power fist
OR (fist mounted lasers)
OR (fist attack)

so presumably i get two missile launchers and can take either two pulsars or a pulsar and either a power fist, fist mounted lasers, or fist attack? Gah.

0-1 power fist
OR (fist mounted lasers)
OR (fist attack)

We'll start with the Power Fist first.

What this means is that the Power Fist has *three* modes of operation:

1) Shooting attack: 6 x AP4+/AT4+

So six shots from the fist.

2) Firefight attack: (Fist Mounted Lasers) (15cms) Small Arms, Extra Attacks (+3)

This grants three extra Firefight attacks

3) Close Combat attack: (Fist Attack) (Base Contact) Assault Weapons Extra Attacks (+2), Titan Killer D3

This is two extra close combat attacks that do D3 Titan-killer hits per successful attack.

The "OR" means you've got to choose *which* mode of operation you're using each time you attack with the Titan; the shooting attacks can only be used for, you guessed it, shooting attacks.  While in an assault, you are required to decide whether the Power Fist is supplying close combat OR firefight attacks.

Does that make sense?

For instance, the Warlock:

As to the weapon load-outs, you need to read the "fine print" in the notes for each Eldar Titan on the datafax.

Warlock Titan: May be armed with 1 Psychic Lance plus 1 Pulsar or 1 Power Fist.

Phantom Titan: May be armed with 2 Pulsars, or 1 Pulsar and a Powerf [sic] Fist.

Hope that makes sense!

That makes perfect sense, and, as I suspected, it was my inability to read the fine print. I was always the kid who would fail the grade school test when the teacher would talk about reading directions and then pass out a set of problems with fine print directions saying "do not answer these questions."

Thanks.

is it just me, or do none of the figures actually fit into the slots on square bases?

No, you really have to get creative.

are there any tried and true simple methods?

Edge clipping with either sprue-cutters or a fingernail clipper has been what I've used to get the bases to fit in square bases.

I simply force them into the holes, pushing on the base of the mini itself with a pair of files. This usually keeps them in place without having to glue them, which has come in handy on those rare occasions when I decide to change the composition of the stand.
