A new bombard?
An armoured Griffon?
It's just that the barrel doesn't look long enough to me... I'll guess we'll find out when the picture ends up on the fanatic site!
Cheers

Ooops, upon looking at the model a thrid time, I discover their is a long enough barrel, but is kinda obscured into the dark background...and it kinda looks blue as well.
Cheers
Chris
PS, does anyone know if Tuff painted any of these? I heard him say something about some Steel Legion tanks he had painted...

It probably is a Basilisk though I prefer the previous verion. Just an odd thought: Could it be something from the Death Korps of Krieg list??? (Off the top of my head they have some specialist type of artillery no?) ... though I admit that it is a bit odd to release models for that list allready...
Cheers

Indeed Tom, the FW Basilisk is very cool. I think I might get some for my (proposed) Steel Legion army, and say they are from a regimement that generally fights "off world" where the atmosphere isn't as corrosive as Armageddon.
Also, I remember talking to Jervis at Games Day and he mentioning he had commisioned a armoured Basilisk. This is obviously it! Who's betting the FW 40K scale version is VERY similar?
Cheers

Hi!
That "basilisk" looks a lot like the american mobile paladin artillery vehicle.
Not a bad looking model though.

Ah, but Jimbo, FW are making a FULLY enclosed version, not just the one with the "partial" armour. The fully enclosed version I think will look like the new Epic:A one.
So you loose ?10!
Cheers

No problem L4, I did it so people like you could look at 'em! I also did it so I could look at them!
Agreed, GW must have taken some inspiration from Janes or another Military source.
Cheers

Yes, much of G/W's Imperial stuff is strongly influenced by WWII and the movies !

Sure is! Inn the background for IG snipers in the E:A rulebook there's a story about some sniper which -at least to me- seems to be -ahem...- borrowed straight from that Stalingrad movie... "Enemy At the Gates" I think it was called... ...need more coffee; my memory is failing me
Cheers
