Quote (Jackhammer @ 08 2003 Oct.,20:49) | Who wants to bet we don't see a redesigned model, just a more complete one. I think the sneak peek is meant to whet people appetites, not be a public consultation for the model. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong. | Unfortunately for those among us who dont like the piece, the pictures shown on the Fanatic website are of the Final model.
The Resin masters are cast & its due to be churned into metal versions ASAP ready to get it into the rulebook.
I would add however, that it is better than it loks in the photos & in my opinion its better than the original (but I always hated that model)- there is hope yet!

Quote (primarch @ 11 2003 Oct.,19:01) | Hi!
You hated the original warhound?!
You heretic...
Primarch | I'm afraid so, never liked it. I just really didnt like the hound head with the cheesy grin. I Far prefer the FW style tech look that is still clearly hound-design, but the original version just looked like a chaos beastie to me
*ducks & runs for cover in Nuclear fallout shelter built from unwanted lead warhound parts.....*

On one of my original Warhounds I removed the head (and put it on a building) and replaced it with one of the metal heads for the Warlord Mk.1. I do like the new F/W designs, I have one in my Titan Force.

Hi!
The old warhound head would make a good gargoyle like decoration for a building.

I am sure this is the what the final version will look like. I doubt they have the time to see what the fans think, and make changes as they go along. After all, they thought the last Eldar titan ws a good idea, and it was almost universally hated.
I love purity seals I titans. I don't care how big they are supposed to be. This is just fantasy. . . I just don't like a lot of them. I think one or two tops on a Warlord or Reaver is fine, but this many on a scout is really just over-doing it.
As far as the eagle logo, something so in your face belongs on a warlord.
I have a lot of the old beetles, a few of the old reavers, and so on, but I really like the newer Warlord and the FW warhound. If you ask me though, every attempt should be made to make the models look more like the original reaver.

...one of my favourite Epic model defiantly, especially great looking with a multiple rocket launcher as each arm...

Definately. Any weapon mounted looked good, so long as you didn't mount the metal support missiles on the carapace when they were designed for the arms, but the reaver's multiple missile launchers looked really nice. ?My first one ever came with a powerfist, lascannon, and multiple missile launcher and I still have one in that configuration.
