Hey folks

The Cloud City Games store is currently shut down while I prepare for my trip to GenCon but once I get back from the show I will actually be closing the site down.

My girlfriend and I are expecting twins at the end of the year and the money to time ratio of CCG isn't enough to justify keeping it going it given that I'll basically have no more free time once the twins arrive. So I need to maximise my return on the time I am spending.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Doug for the opportunity to carry the range and wish him and the rest of the DRM team all the best in the future. They are a great range of miniatures and a great set of rules.

Well congrats on the clones but that stinks about the site.  Wish you the best with the 'chilluns'. :)

My good mechanical engineer friend Doug has twins, and based on his tales (and my own kid experience), this will most likely be the case.

While it is a shame that CCG will need to close down, I am very pleased that this is a voluntary decision, and due to such fantastic news.

I only hope that my friends remember me when I am able to leave the house :-)

Here is my analogy to fatherhood: it is like a giant, immobilizing weight placed upon you a few days after the birth. Every day, an ounce is lifted.

Occasionally, in the manner of a shooting star, your child will do something that will leave you awestruck.

For example, Bella (3 years, 4 months) determined that my reference to a "non-human confinement zone" was about a zoo.

P.S. Diapers aren't a big deal at all.

My girlfriend has been rather pointed on that issue :-)

Sad news about CCG but understandable.  Hopefully you will still have at least some time to visit, contribute to rule development etc :)

All the best for the future and congratulations!!

Congrats on the twins, Pixelgeek! :)  Double the joy, not to mention the sleepless nights... :confuse:

It's a shame about CCG, but I echo what C/S said, better to bow-out at the top of your game, so to speak.

Congrats, PG!

Twins are a good way to have kids, I think. You can only spend *all* your time on your kids, anyway, so you get twice the good things for the same investment... The bad is having to get two sets of stuff.

Big Congrats mate. We'll miss your support from the DRM perspective, but the way things are going, DRM will still be around when the illusive free time returns to your life, so dont loose touch fella ;)
