Necron walker?

I got a RAFM Reaction Marine with spider walker/missile pod (http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant. ... _Code=SKRM) in an eBay deal a few years ago.

The spider mount became a Necron walker. Now it just needs a kitbashed weapon to stick on top...

Aha! So that's what you're after. Never fear, Vanvlak is here. Odds dismay, what will our intrepid hero come up with now?  Does the Otter want the classic or retro Necron look, the modern Necron look, the Terminator look, or something risque'? :p

Classic Necron, please. Needs some easily identifiable design elements to tie it back to the Necrons, besides glowing green edges.

I like that paint job! :)  Stick some 40k Necron components on there, an hey presto you've got a Super-Tomb Spider type thing.

Re: the second pic - I think a re-reading of the Necron fluff might be in order.  I believe they're meant to be about spreading death, not free love... :;): :p :laugh:

No bits of scrapped vacuum cleaners or printers. Well, not too many.
Now:
Classic Necron as in the OLD Nercron raiders or the NEW (i.e. current) Necrons?
Green as in transparent plastic or any bright green?
Should I paint, or shall I leave that to you (which I'd prefer - I don't think I'd manage to match the rest of the beastie).
Scale - that would be a Basilisk crawling under the beastie, right?

adding a big green marble type thingy (great description i know) would make an intresting pylon alternative....

Transparent green would be nice, but not necessary.

I would like to paint it.

Yes, that's a Basilisk receiving the tender attentions of the walker.

Wasn't there some huge necron walker thingy in the Medusa camapaign? I thought the aftermath had some on it.

Maybe base it on that.

I poked around and couldn't find anything like that. Little help, please?

I may go to the bead store and see if I can find some tiny plain spheres to use as turrets. I can mount them on the 'shins'.

There was a minor piece of fluff about a 'Tomb Stalker', a Titan-sized Necron construct, nothing ever came of it.
