The Niddy end of an era.
Big instalment of Nids - troop sprues and biotitans - arrived today - thanks Heresiarch :) :) :)
My last new army ever has been bought. From now on - just a few odds and ends to fill in gaps, or to satisfy cravings for the odd model.
As Epic SM was my first wargame ever, it seems appropriate to finish off with an Epic army, and the last released for Epic SM at that. Cue for a sentimental slow pass of Harridans.  :;):

Nice to see they went to a home that appreciates them. I'm afraid all they were doing here is sitting around the house and... err, "brooding" as it were. :p  :confuse:

ANd after purchasing White Dwarf for 12 years uninterruptedly (except for a single December issue), I cancelled my subscription today. My first issue was purchased in later April 1994, on our honeymoon (!). And it had a big advert which, I have to admit work. It showed a plastic Beetlebacksitting in the middle of a sea of what I now know are Eldar, Orks and Space Marines. Epic SM, 2nd edition. And it had an article on Chaos too....

But all issues following the departure of Paul Sawyer as ed were terribly, terribly weak.... especially since 'White Dwarf' was appointed editor.

I can understand that V.

I have every (UK) WD from issue 129 onwards. As they are now up to issue 330 that means I have over 200 consecutive issues of WD- that is almost 17 years worth. But like you I was prepared to let my subscription run out. The only reason that I still get them now is that my younger cousin gave me a WD subscription as Christmas present in deluded attempt to keep me interested in W40k.
