So the old Ork G/W stuff is in scale with WWII stuff !  :D   And you get 10 SMs in a Rhino - by giving them a direct order ! :O

I've actually seen it done as a conversion in 40k scale... it even looked kinda sensible.

'Needs to be done with a modern Rhino however, the older design is too small, and lacks the crew compartment.

Excellent research, CC. It does confirm that FW's aircraft aren't too big, but rather SG's are too small. Of course we all pretty much knew that Epic minis have never truly been in scale with each other. You're right that modern fighters are a lot bigger than their WWII counterparts. I remember the first time I saw an F-105 on the ground I was amazed how big it is.

Yes, I've always felt the G/W-S/G aircraft are too small. But they always have been "flexible" when is comes to size ?  The Eldar Infantry for one is a good example !  :)

The F-105 is a beautiful plane.

My favorite when walking the terrazzo at "univeristy"  Still the F4 has a big brutish charm to it too.

There's a good reason why the F-4 earned the nickname "Pig". I'll agree the good ole' Phantom II does have a brutish charm, though. Too bad it didn't have a cannon from day 1.

The Double Ugly normally does not have enough guns for Ork taste - granted load it up with gunpods and it would not be too bad.  But then it was a beast and quiet capable of taking some damage - and 2 engines is always nice.

The Thud is great for what it was made for - delivering a bomb load to a target fast and low.
