The grot bomb is a difficult thing to bring into Epic in my opinion. I suppose a battery of them could exist as well as a pair off of a Fighta-Bommer. They would be be hard to port over due to the general abstractions of Epic - probably fall into the Big Gun category - what are those rockets that are Big Guns in the Bad Moons and Death Skulls Ork Clans (ERB pg 119).
Looking at them in AI they are 1 off shots that allow the Fighta-Bomba to target multiple targets. Not particularly useful when formations are the targets and would translate as a BP or AT#+.

We have decided the Landa needs lowering to 6 hits after a couple of games. They were just a touch to hard to kill. Otherwise it feels OK.

(A post on Airspace about Landa)
I would make it 4 hits. I don't think an Ork Landa can stand the same damage as a Space Marine Thunderhawk.
(I wrote in response)
Actually it's on par with a thunderhawk if you take Epic stats as guidelines.
A Thunderhawk has 2 Damage Capacity and a 4+ RA save. If you devide it's DC by the likeliness of it failing a save you get 8 shots on average to take it down.
A Landa has 3 Damage Capacity and a 5+ RA save. If you devide it's DC by the likeliness of it failing a save you get 6.8 shots on average to take it down.
Now the Save of the planes in Epic take into account it's ability to maneouver out of the way of planes and flak. As this is already taken account in AI with actual maneouvering you would have to work this into the calculations. Making them roughly on par in terms of survivability in AI, therefore HPs.
Does this reasoning make sense to you Epic players out there?
