Well, I just got the news that my Germans are en route, and should arrive around the middle of next week. The bajillion (well, 40 or so) half-tracks should be arriving soon as well.
I'll try to get some pics up at some point, but I have a distinct lack of a digicam. I'll have to see what I can do. I might be able to borrow a friend's camera. Unfortunately, one of the guys in the FoW group is an incredible painter. He likes the American Airborne forces (hey, he was one, so it makes sense), and I think he pulled out his unit histories to get the uniform details right. You can actually recognize the airborne patches on the sleeves of his guys. It's incredible how good his minis look. He makes for a very hard act to follow.
This weekend tends to be a little zoo-y, since it's my church's big Christmas concerts (Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon, and Monday night). That, combined with the mandatory OT at work making my shifts start @ 0400 local and last until 1430 or so, doesn't leave much time for playing. Hopefully, we'll be off the mOT after next week, so that I can get back some sanity. By the end of my shift Friday, I was pretty loopy from sleep deprivation combined with caffiene overdoses.
"It is by caffiene alone I set my mind in motion. The beans of Java give thoughts speed. The hands begin to shake, the shake becomes a warning. It is by caffiene alone I set my mind in motion."
"MASTER CAUTION - Caffiene Level Low"
those were the kinds of jokes we had running on the chat sessions at work.
Maksim, if you're not able to laugh about life, you need to stop and re-assess your priorities.
