I've been trying out the Inquisition task force lately and wanted to field an Adepta Sororitas detachment but didn't have anything suitable to represent the Basilica. In the end I decided to delve into the bits box and see what I could come up with, just thought you might be interested to see my work in progress so far. Its a Ordo Hereticus Basilica Imperialis, or as my opponent likes to call it "the scary super-shooty nun wagon"..





Still lots to do on it, given part of it an undercoat and tested out some colour mixes. Its a bit taller than a Reaver and fits on a titan base.

Looks really good, if a bit.... Orky...  Might need to send the bloodaxes on a raid to dedicate that contraption to Gork!   :p

Cheers, still loads to do its only the first phase. That's only the undercoat, not the finished paintjob. I've still got a million roof tiles to put on and some smaller towers, pillars, windows and doors to fit.

Would certainly like to see it finished - keep us posted.

These posts always make me feel bad for neglecting my own Inquisition efforts. I must start that =I= fortress some day...

As it's still WIP, if I may make a suggestion: the water-tower looking thing at the back (is it going to be the Excommunicator?) looks a little out of place. Perhaps you could add another steeped roof to make it look more like a castle tower? Perhaps a round one? You could then add the missile-launcher bits around under the roof maybe...

Oh dear, I feel the term "nun wagon" is going to stick... Time to recite the Catechisms of Exorcism a few dozen times...

Cheers for all the replies, I didn't like the back either so I took it off and I'm making it into a bell tower in the hope that in the next rule update the Sororitas will get their hands on the devotional bell upgrade from the AMTL list.

Camera's a bit blurry so I don't know if you'll be able to make out my latest bit of madness but here's one of the stained glass windows. It looks at a funny angle but its actually the roof thats needs replacing.



Still tons to do but its definitely encouraging to hear what other people think. The nun wagon rolls on!
