Oh yeah, Vermen = modern Skaven = space Rats  :)

Complete with Quad titans, pestilential rats in packs, and Rat Ogres!

How about strange AFVs with large wheels? Think about the "Tsar" tank: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsar_Tank. Please?

It might be in a past issue of Incoming!, but I know I've seen a Genestealer Cult list somewhere.

It was... and as soon as I get around to reworking it, the revised list will be submitted to Incoming too! ?:D

I have always liked the Cult and did not like when they just ignored them and made them a single "type" of Tyranid. I figure with the other factions, they could have left them as their own faction. I mean the cult was just too cool. ?

Cults were incredibly cool. I love the fact that when the Primarch hit a certain level they became beacons for Hive Fleets.  I still remember the first lot of rules concerning them though when Tyrannids were not even a twinkle in someones eye.  :D

Ah thanks for the clarification, never really thought of Rat men being in 40k.  Always presumed they would be counted as mutants and burned as xeno heretics!

Have to take the full stop off the end of the URL, but that is one funky looking tank!  Reminds me of the Doomwheel from WHFB....

I never thought of that before. It does remind me of a Doomwheel.  :p

Was NetEpic an open project by the way?  I really only found it once version 5 had been finalised.   Did the army lists follow the same sort of  suggestion / test / review phases as E:A's army lists are going through.  I'd presume yes as it is so thorough and seems exteremly well balanced.

Are future ammendments and suggestions going to be incoporated or will they appear in Incoming instead?

Hi!

Sorry for the delayed reponse, I was on vacation.... :;):

Netepic was/is an open project subjected to review and discussion by its members. The reason for the mailing list to exist was to propose test and approve rules, stats and everfything related to the netepic rules. The last review which last nearly 4 years culminated in the 5.0 rules.

5.0 is a milestone in netepic development. There will be no future reviews in that depth. It was way to long and exhaustive. Thats not to say it cannot be approved or changed, but future such changes will be issued in Incoming and when enough changes have occured an update "book" will be made.

There is already a list of errata/omissions that need to be added and is pending some free time from our editor to place the updates. I will notify everyone when this is done.

NetEpic gold is undergoing some reformatting to a better format to make it even more "eye pleasing". But it doesnt stop there. They are plans for new army cards and even the templates and gaming aids are being redone. In summary its a whole overhaul to make the rules very "professional" in look and feel.

Any ideas/additions/recommendations should be sent to me or posted on the mailing list. Its a good time to do this as they can make it into the optionals book, since this time around we decided to make such a compendium to house all ideas, whether they are core or not.

... I have just really begun to play netepic 5. It is wonderful, the only problem being the lack of players here.
i wanted to GM a netepic at a local con here in August, but preliminary forum reconasaince doesn't show it as favorable.
Did I mention I love the game...

Hi!

After 4 years, to be frank and the end it looked too much like work.

I was REALLY glad it was over.

Hi!

In my experience you pretty much need to convert your own following for epic nowadays.

Once netepic gold is donw it will be easier to do. Also with the list for DRM figs I plan to make for netepic rules it will even be possible for newbies to get into it.
