Seems I won't be spending much time on miniatures next few days. I just found a sales offer for an old P120 (including the monitor, mouse and keyboard), for really low price - in fact, several times lower then the ridiculously high quotas some people wanted just for a central unit of worse machines. Just a perfect DOS machine. (dances a victory dance)

Working on some more IG. Finished some Hellhounds, FW Hydras and a pair of Deathstrikes which still need to have the missile itself painted.
Funny thing about the Hellhounds. I think someone else mentioned that the SG Hydras had the tracks positioned backwards before being cast in one piece. The same thing appears to be the case with the Hellhounds!

t5h, why on earth would you want a DOS machine? That's a Linux firewall-to-be if I've ever seen one!

I agree. It is human to make mistakes but it really shows how tight a budget SG is on when they don't catch an error like this in the planning stage.
Congrats on the Imperator KbD Good catch!

Hey guys,
In my recent purchase I got twenty of the old style battle wagons. ?Now I really consider them too small to really use as battle wagons. ?So I plan to use them as warbuggies instead (I tought their guns were too weak even to count as big guns).
I also hated some of the modeling on them. ?So out came the clippers.
I cut off all the spiky bits from the wheels, I cut the boring round thing from the raised tower, and most of all I got rid of the silly looking skull in the front. ?
In place of the simple round dome tower I used the hatch bits from the ork and imperial vehciles. ?This makes it look like a shoota post on top of the tower. ?I ran out of those bits and placed an order for something I hope will work well with the other 15 vehciles I have left to do. ? ? ?
For the skull I felt something suitably orky was in order. So using platiccard I tried to copy the look of the warbuggies front armor. ?I tried to be random so there was some variety to the minis. ?
This was my first experience with platic card and it was quite fun. ?It was easy to cut and shape and I can see why so many people love it. ?
Now I drilled holes out to give the impression of rivets. ?I haven't found any platic rod so I may have to stick with this look or keep looking for the rod.
Any opinions on the subject?
Does anyone know of a online source for plastic card in the US.
Well I would love to hear what you guys think of these conversions and my first baby steps at stratch building in general.
Thanks
