Its a hobby, not a race. Painting can be an end unto itself after all, and you dont need an opponent to do it.
Thats how I rationalised it after realising I couldn't afford to have all my stuff delivered to me painted anyway

Hi!
I'm a slow painter too,mainly because I cannot sit still long enough to do it for hours. I did however have apainting binge that lasted 6 months where I painted many hours a day. But I have yet to repeat such a feat.

I'm just a slow painter as I don't have a huge amount of spare time at the moment (and I am focusing on WH40K rather than Epic at the moment - though that will change I think when the new models come out).

I had to update my will 2 years ago when my son was born and my wife was a little worried when my best mate's name appeared in it...
until she saw that he was "only" getting all my wargaming materials and minis

By the way- did you ever have your stuff weighed as part of the "my own body weight in minis" competition? Just interested...you mean need wrestlers/bodybuilders as coffin bearers

I'm currently putting together the final few companies of my full Ultramarine Chapter. Then I have my IG and LOTS of painting.
I've been banned from buying any more mins until all these are assembled and painted - no fair.
