Thanks all for your replys. I have decided to do an IG armored force. Partially because it is an easy army to use and is very forgiving but also because one of my friends is a WWII history buff and the IG would fit that theme. Also a large bludgeon is more his style anyways.
Anyways here is the IG army that I was contemplating:
Tank Co
Storm Troops with Valkaryie
Infantry Co w/ Firesupport
Infantry Co w/ Ogryns
Super Heavy Tank Co w/ 3 LR Demolishers
2x Artillery Batteries
Hydra Battery
Total: 3000

Tank heavy? That's putting it mildly, grin.
I suspect if I ever came up against that force I'd need a change of underwear! Actually since I'm starting a marine army that sounds quite unpleasant...

IG is also good because you can cross-utilize formations into Lost and Damned armies...as Traitor Guard! More bang for the buck!
