Hi,

I posted this in the Chaos section of the forum. Realised that I should probably have posted it here.

So I am relearning Epic with my Orks (I have had three cracking games so far) and in the meantime I am looking to build up another army that my gaming group does not have. So I looked at my collection and have a lot of Chaos figures.

Can anyone give me any advice for choosing a Chaos list.

Once I have a rough idea of a list I can look at asembling the army and converting any units that I don't have or are not available (this includes stuff at ridiculous prices)

Personally I'm building (very slow) a Death Guard army to go with the new srmylist thats being developed... Check it out and see if you like it! Orbitsl bombardment with plague zombies was what got me hooked!

Me also. Just waiting on a few packages then I'm going to start posting pictures in my TOEG thread. The zombie swarms are going to be so much fun and boost the activation count massively for the first turn at least. That works well though as the rest of the force is quite slow.

I have grown fond of the Lost and the damned. There is an experimental "redux" list that resonates well with how I like my armed rabble (not just IG in pink). With Onslaughts up and coming Hellborn minis there is much win to be had here...

Yeah going to have a look at all lists.
I like the Coven and Black Legion lists as they both have some cool units in them and very thematic. The stuff from Onslaught is far too good, I keep thinking of doing something different everytime I look at their webpage.

It's in the tournament pack here but it's called Chaos cultists - Stigmatus Covenant

Borka provides the current kosher list and that is probably the correct thing to do. However, there is an experimental list being developed that incorporates some minor tweaks that I find quite appealing. Basically it does away with an hitherto dependence on bog standard Imperial Guard units and allows more support units. In my mind this feels more like a proper uprising insurgency kind of list. Worthwhile a look before you decide.

I'm getting back into Epic after a 10 year+ hiatus too.
I'm planning on building a Traitor Guard army (Blood Pact) but will just use the Steel Legion rules and the 'counts as' rule. A bit boring perhaps but I think it'll look really good when its all done!

Not at all boring. I like that kind of creative flavor. I sometimes think that the literal interpretation and wysiwyg goes too far here in terms of listmania.

There is a Vraksian Traitors list in the compendium - it's based on the Steel Legion list with some tweaks. Might be worth a look!

Cheers - I didn't know that there was already a traitor guard list!

Wasn't there also an inspired by Blood Pact list called The Bloody Hand or something along those lines?
