Hey guys, I'm going to start adding greater and lesser demons to my chaos army. For a 'typical' 3000-point game, about how many demons do chaos players take? |

I don't think I've taken more than 8 lessers and 1 greater. |

dptdexys' tournament winning black legion force had 14 lesser demons, it really depends on your playstyle, I'd normally aim for around 8-10 myself, I've not seen too many greater daemons used, in most cases people seem to take a chaos champion and sacrifice him to summon the GD |

Depends on the list - but I feel fewer than about six does not really pay itself back. I would normally average between 8-10 in a 3k game. I rarely take greater daemons - but maybe on GD and 6 lesser is about average? |

Depends how many of your formations have demonic pact within that 3k. I take around 8 lesser demons total for three formations that can summon. I'd take a couple more and/or a GD if using more formations that could summon |

I think 8 is a good minimum, average summon is 4 daemons, so that gives you enough to do 2 big engagements, often enough to tip the balance of a game in my experience.... |
