Hi Guys, I am looking at starting my 2nd army for EA and with some nice new tyranid proxies soon to be available it appears that tyranids are calling out to me. They will hopefully offer me a nice new refreshing style of play, my other force in vanaheim and they are predominately a shooting force. Does this look like a good list for Epic UK Nids? My experience of EuK nids: Drop down to 1 or 2 gargoyles per swarm if i were you; they'll not do much damage to planes but are worth the blast marker effect. That many lictors and genestealers leaves a large portion of your army unable to FF; the same rings true of the carnifexes; invest in some malefactors drop the 2 extra gargoyles on the harridan. drop the extra genestealer. Get another harridan! Bear in mind that nids are an activation army. I'd go for (trying to take into account the models the above list suggests you have...) Thanks for your input Ryan. Isnt the biovore at risk of being sniped out by AT fire being the only non WE vehicle? I noticed that there is no singular bts is this not going to cause an issue? Particularly as both are likely to teleport near to danger. I actually have no models ATM so have no attachment to any formations. Are the brute formations usefull or a waste? I know they have limited damage output and need to get to cc. |

In a nest swarm, you have either a DC3 war engine in the hive node for your biovores to hide behind and to take AT shots on it's 4+ RA and 4 Termagants to take the AP fire on and not take blast markers, make sure they're all in or out of cover though, otherwise your biovores could be sniped. If you don't want to bother with nest swarms, you could just overload on infantry like I do, with the added benefit of this being hella effective.
