Chaos lists?

Some of the stuff looks quite neat and their is certainly a lot of fearless. Any experiences to date?

I didn't get to play against any of the Chaos variant lists at ITB.

I didn't play Tim either, but from playing on tables next to it, his army was very pink. Any use to you?

I enjoy using the variant lists for BL. I would have done better if I had taken some aircraft (on list of things to buy) and not been crushed by Joe and to a lesser extend by DaveT who had similar marine armies. Infact my only advantage over those armies was that I had some Fearless troops, but it didn't make any difference as in both those games my forces decided to play with out any armour. Will use these guys again.

Thousand Sons are also a potentially good list, I'm working on a force of these at the moment. Also World Eaters will give a good game, but they are more of a one trick pony which will not make them a tournament winning army. Although there are a few combination, which I'm sure you've spotted Chris which could cause even experienced players problems.

Haven't done much on Death Guard, but they look hard.

Well with 2 tourneys to go and 3 unplayed armies - Guard, Eldar and Chaos - just thinking what to do if I go for Chaos. I like the idea of the cult armies because I have a lot of 1st ed guys that are split up into chaos power rather than mixed together and I've never used them in many years of Epic :) haven't had a chance to look at any lists lately, just don't get the undisturbed time nessecery for plotting!

Then again having a normal BL army but doing each one a different colour and model type is interesting - but of course would have to all be colourful undivided due to the hated factions rule :(

And the answer is a slipper!

Well they can all hit hard, but have their in built weaknesses. I found that I only really had the Subjugators and Daemon Knights for any long range shooting and my Defilers were targetted as they provided my AA. Still when they worked, they worked.

Oh and when they decide to fight with armour on, terminators rock...

don't tell him that! :o Currently he needs to be told that chaos terminators suck and that due to this he definitely does not need any minis to represent them ;D
