Hi guys,

The fourth round of the 2022 EUK Championship is Counter Attack, on Sat Apr 16th, and this year we are returning to last years venue; Bristol Independent Gaming (BIG)

Details
There are sixteen spaces available. Tickets are £20, and are available via the EUK site here and will include lunch.

Following on from last years format, this years event will be three games at 3000 points.
Lists are to be chosen from the Epic UK approved lists and are due by midnight on Fri 1st of Apr.
Please note, the first round of the event will be a variant scenario. Details will be posted following all army list submission.

The schedule
09:15 – 09:45 – Registration and Welcome.
09:45 – 12:15- Game 1
12:15 – 13:00 – Lunch
13:00 – 15:30 – Game 2
15:45 – 18:15 – Game 3
18:15 – 18:45 – Awards, tidy up, vanish into the Bristol night…

Getting there & Parking
The address for BIG is: 16 Cater Rd, Bristol BS13 7TW.
There is parking available on site.

Could you confirm the number of tickets/places please? for some reason i thought it was 18, now see it's 16, but 17 entrants listed!

Afaik (unofficially) there is a venue max of 32, the list of attendees isnt up to date.

Hey Apoc, 16 spaces was the original tickets estimate based on previous years, but this one has been pretty popular so BIG have kindly given us some more table space.

Well, Counter Attack has come and gone for another year! This years event was a great success; 20 players battled it out (biggest one-day event we have had since 2012!) while we were hosted by the good folk at Bristol Independent Gaming.

It was a close run thing, with five players going into the final round all in with a chance of winning the event.
When the dust had settled though, Stevekcole emerged victorious with three victories for his Biel Tan Eldar, just ahead of RichardLs Codex Marines.
Rug was best of the rest, snatching 3rd place ahead of the rest of the pack.

In an indication of how closely matched the rest of the pack were, the players from 3rd place down to 8th, were separated by just 6 points... In some cases having to go to 2 levels of tie-breaker!

***Stewards inquiry*** While updating the Epic UK database, an error was found with the results recorded on the day. Andrew J had in fact accrued enough points to pip Matt A to 3rd place! Sorry gents :)

Andrew took home the Best Newcomer award, Dethens Orks with a whole host of brilliant scratch built models won the players Best Painted award, while Apoc got the Judges vote with his lava based World Eaters.

Most Sporting was claimed by the ever friendly Jake, and the Wooden Spoon went to GlynG.

Thank you to everyone who took part. It was great to see so many players gaming, celebrating success & lamenting the dice when they deserted them.
It was also brilliant to meet some new faces. We hope you had a good time, and look forward to seeing you at future events.
