Afternoon all,

For those who may not have seen, we are looking to run Counterattack now on SAT 5TH SEPT, still at B.I.G in Bristol.

If you could please let us know if you can make this date, that would be a great help.

In terms of Covid precautions, the venue has a strict face masks policy, while hand sanitizer will be available, and the shop within the venue will be operating on a 'one out, one in' basis.

Thanks

Reedar

I'm looking forward to the first tournament in ages :)

I wonder how many of us will have all new armies painted up with time off during the lockdown?

Could be a good idea to update the dates in the thread title and on the Epic-UK site? Both still say March currently. Stick a post up on the Epic-UK facebook page advertising the tournament too?

I just plugged it on one of the Epic facebook groups and a couple of people said they might be interested.

My club (CLWC) has been meeting back at the Escape in central London for several weeks, but under severely restricted circumstances.

Whilst things may still change, I suggest that the new ‘rules’ will still impact, and so may modify the number of tables and hence the maximum number of players. You may need to read the rules carefully to see what is permitted and practical.

The venue is down to around a quarter of their normal numbers due to extra social distancing but it's a largish venue and this is still enough tables for a small tournament. I expect people will have checked and okayed it before arranging it.

Morning guys,

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for Counterattack at Bristol Independent Gaming, a little over a week to go now...
We are currently on 11 players, and I am hoping that we will hit even numbers over the next couple of days.

Thank you to those who have already sent in army lists. For those that haven't, can you please get these in by tomorrow (to the usual tournaments@ address) so that we have time for the list checking/entering.
If anyone wants to change their list from the original March date, you are more than welcome.

Any other Q's, please feel free to drop us a line.

Thanks

Reedar

We've got a great mix of races taking part at Counterattack this weekend, and it is great to see some of the less common lists like Ulani and World Eaters getting some action.

Here's the full breakdown:

World Eaters
Black Legion
Eldar
Space Marines x2
Orks
Speed Freaks
Tau
Steel Legion
Ulani
Knights

The draw for the first round will be put up soon too.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Bristol!

Cheers
Reedar

Hi guys,

The first round draw has been done, and is as follows:

Jean (Ulani) vs Jon (Black Legion)

    Ollie (Orks) vs Duncan (Knights)

Mike (World Eaters) vs Blip (Steel Legion)

Tiny-Tim (Biel-Tan Eldar) vs GlynG (Tau)

Nat (Speed Freaks) vs Richard (Codex Marines)

    Reedar (Codex Marines) vs tbc/BYE

Some interesting matchups in there, and some great looking armies to boot.

How is everyone getting on with their deadline painting??

Cheers
Reedar

Afternoon all,

Huge shout out to everyone who was took part in Counterattack at Bristol Independent Gaming on Saturday - a really laid back event, which was great fun to play in and enjoyable to run.

Great to see so many new faces taking part, and despite the restricted numbers due to Covid social distancing, it was good to cross swords again and hear the room full of howls of anguish/laughter as dice fortunes came and went!

When the dust settled, Jons Black Legion force featuring all four Greater Deamons had swept all comers before them and took top spot, Darrens Marines were second, only edging out Tims Biel Tan Eldar on a tie break.

Other notable mentions go to Mike for taking home both the Most Sporting and Players Painted awards, to Ollie for the accolades of Best Newcomer and also Judges Painted, and lastly to Jean who earned himself the wooden spoon on his debut.

Looking forward to hoping getting out again for more 6mm shenanigans later in the year, all being well.

Thanks

Epic UK team
