If any of you coming from further away want free accommodation the night before or after we've got a sofa futon in the lounge of our shared house if that makes travel easier or you fancy doing a bit of Bristol sightseeing.

Hi guys, Apologies for the delay in getting this thread up. The 2019 EUK Championship is kicking off with Winter Warmer on Sat Jan 26th, at The Old Duke in Bristol (same venue as last year). Tickets are £20, and are available via the EUK site here: http://epic-uk.co.uk/wp/event-calendar/winter-warmer. As ever its the standard 3 games at 3,000 points. Lists are to be chosen from the EUK approved lists and are due by middnight on Sat 12th of Jan. The schedule is :- 09:30 – 10:00 – Registration and Welcome. 10:00 – 12:30- Game 1 12:30 – 13:30 – Lunch 13:30 – 16:00 – Game 2 16:15 – 18:45 – Game 3 18:45 – 19:00 – Awards Getting there & Parking. There is nearby on street parking, and the venue is within walking distance of Bristol Temple Meads train station. Address is 45 King Street, BS1 4ER to be precise Confirmed Entrants 1. Reedar 2. Nearby on street parking in the daytime is extremely busy, and as far as I'm aware the whole area is now either a 1 hour zone (longest ticket 1 hour for £3) or a 2 hour zone (longest ticket 2 hours for £4). The NCP car park just down the street from the Old Duke is £25 for the day if you book ahead, if you pay on the day it's going to be (substantially?) more. St Mary Redcliffe Car Park is about five minute's walk, but even that's gone up in price and is now £12 for the day, instead of a fiver or so. |
