Moved : Is there going to be a season ticket this year? And if so will it cover Winter Warmer and/or Counter Attack?

Also - any news on any list updates for new year? Steel Legion has been discussed along with Skitarii?

Season tickets are available (PM me), they cover the GT +2 of Full scale Assault, Into the Breach and Counterattack.

List developments - I would hope we will be able to put plans up early January

Something must be wrong with me as I am tempted by Britcon.

Will do the London tournies and the World's too - but not sure in what capacity yet.

Northerners v Southerners at Escape in May if no London GT agreed maybe? I can get to Euston from Lancashire in not much more time than from Croydon, and advance train tickets are cheap. Kings Cross/At Pancras also nearby so that is North East and North West routes covered. It would be good to have a light-hearted, non-Championship counting event. Additionally, a lot of the London-based players are from the North, so having balanced teams will be easy.

Current list WIP is a new Adeptus Titanicus compatible AMTL list, plus changes to World Eaters. Tim’s looking at Steel Legion after AMTL. Skitarri we’re assessing options.

Cheers guys.

Interested to see the AT list. Got a grand master box needing some extra incentive to build - though those models are a bit intimidating after not picking up a paint brush in 2 years!

Steve54 - PM'd.

They’re on my list for improving the weaker lists along with skitarri. World Eaters first up though!

Just curious as to what doesn't work with AMTL and the new AT models now? I'm sure there's a subtlety that I'm missing but not sure why you need a list for them.

In my opinion they really don't, I've been talking to several potential players recently, and honestly they don't care about AT compatability because get this, if they want to use titans and knights, they will just play AT..... What newcomers care about is modern style lists with new minis, I've had several enquiries about Tau and when I say that the Tau list is very old and limited, they lose interest, even if the list isn't *bad*

I wrote and have quite extensively tested a Vior'la list for EpicUK that nobody seems to care about, the Imperial Fists list has been approved for years and every time I push for inclusion in the EUK pantheon it gets fobbed of, IF are one of the trendier chapters right now too

Don't get me wrong, the world eaters should be competitive, as should the naff eldar lists, but there are already perfectly functional AMTL and Knight lists... And the people playing AT want to play AT, because otherwise they would already be playing EA

Kyuss - can you PM me both those lists? Sorry if you’ve already sent them to the others. Might preceed my time on the committee?

From my experience of trying to get people playing EA in a couple of areas now, I'd echo KiC comments - limited list options is a big put off for many. There are a whole generation of (now adult) 40k players for who a couple of the lists are completely baffling - Knights being a good example where you have to explain that they used to be dinosaur hunting feudal lords rather than a branch of the Ad Mech (which was basically retconed in TL in what 1995? - simplifying slightly but you get what i mean). And the current Skitarri list looks little like the actual Skitarri in 40k which have been around for 5 years now.

To that aim, I think adding knights to AMTL (which I assume is the plan) is a good move and should make the list more interesting to play as/against. Based on the current 40k they should be an option in titan allies for all imperial lists. And we should really find a way to make the big titans competitive - after all, with the way 40k is, titans are about the only war machines not used in regular 40k now. KiC comments about the limited Tau list (basically where are my rip tides?) is very familiar to me from 2 tau players.

However an even bigger factor for many prospective players was iconic units - land raiders, dreadnoughts, baneblades, hellhounds, etc (which many player have in their collections and for which modern proxies are readily available) which are obviously poor choices. To this end I really hoping the Imp Fists get included this year and have high hopes for the re-balancing of steel legion.

Keep up the good work guys.

Since I've been playing Epic this is the most positive I've ever felt about Epic UK list development.

Deliberately picking out the weakest lists and improving them is an excellent move. The first three are sensible choices.

I am not a fan of the current AMTL list. It has clearly been carefully designed to be balanced and characterful, but sadly along the line this has led to quite a few bore and maybe get a draw games. A new list is very welcome.

As for the Imperial Fists etc, sounds like StevekCole is on it!

Things are looking up for Epic in 2019! :)

Is the May slot still free for a tourny? Looking at possibly sorting a tourny in the Preston area.
