After a poll from possible players, I have decided to run a 2 day 3000 point - 5 games tournament, followed on the Monday by a 1000 point 3 game Minigeddon tournament. This will attract veteran and seasoned gamers to the 3000 point game, and allow for Noobs and those who just want to play for fun to play a series of fun quick games. I have approached a couple of companies about sponsorship (vouchers), and hope to contact a third once the owner returns from abroad. So far I have had a decent amount of responses from many of the gamers on the Wargamer.au site about the event, and I just hope the format will allow those from other states, that have to work the Monday to come for the first 2 days. I will be allowing Developmental armies and legal armies, providing I get the link to the army list, and the army composition the entrant will be taking. I think I will Veto Squats until their list has been re-worked, after the series of wins at CanCon this year. I was suggested that they are still a little unbalanced, and need a re-work. I hope to see Sisters, DeathGuard, Vraks Renegades, Sian-Hann, and a lot of the unusual developmental lists. |

For those going to CanCon, I will have to communicate to others through this website. Wargamerau has suspended my subscription without notice or reason. I tried to contact the websites administrators through the contact us link and left a message, however from previous experience initially trying to sign up years ago, they rarely check the emails sent through this link. As I do not use facebook, twitter, etc, I can not try that avenue. I had previously had another member contact thee Wargamerau administrators to activate my account originally. It would be appreciated if someone could get them to contact me and give me a reason why my account has been suspended, and a way for me to re-activate it. I make sure I do not break the copyright and website link rules they imposed, and also make sure I am not rude or abusive to others either. I can not guess why the account has been frozen/suspended. I can not log on even browse the website as a visitor let alone log-in. It brings up the default suspension screen - please contact your hosting provider. I really need access to the Wargamerau website as I depend up on it to organize the monthly Epic wargames, find out about tournaments, and many more things like their army diaries. I wonder who I upset, and how I upset them. A member since 2009 and I have not done anything that would lead to an account suspension. How am I going to promote the Sydney MOAB Epic Armageddon event to Australian wargamers, if most of them are on Wargamerau, and a lot of those that I know are not members of this website. I hope that if I do something that might get my account suspended here, that they let me know with a proper email, and allow me to reply in my own defense, to try and resolve the issue. It seems strange that Wargamerau, has very little support to get issues like this resolved. Any help from Wargamerau members to contact the site administrators on my behalf will be appreciated. It did not disable your subscription Deb They haven't paid their own hosting bills again. Happened a few years ago. Also if you want to promote your event I suggest grabbing facebook (Even if you make a dummy account) and joining the Epic Australia page - that's probably the best bet |

I do not use face book, twitter, etc. I had a very bad experience years ago, blocked the person responsible, and reported them, but they sent a photo of their private parts in their "can I join your friends list" message. I also experienced a person who strongly disagreed with a view I had on a topic and threatened me and called me every name under the sun. That was the last straw. Even though I reported them, I decided to close the account. I do not go on any IM, chat, video chat, or other website or services. There are just too many weirdos about. I will have to get the guys at MOAB to do a little bit of the leg work for me. |

I wish you the best of luck But without utilizing facebooks event system and fan pages I think you'll be struggling. The MOAB guys don't really do too much in the way of promoting events - that's up to the TO and most of the Aussie epic community doesn't really visit WAU or TACCOMS that much |

After I heard that Facebook made it a part of the agreement for posting on their website that THEY OWN the photos and other info you post, that put me right off them. Thanks for the good wishes. The event should be OK, as I have changed it from a Minigeddon only to 2 days of normal 3000 points followed by a third day of Minigeddon for those who want to just have fun, learn a bit without having overly competitive armies against them, and it allows those from inter/intrastate to get home in time if they want to leave early. |

you can make a non-specific user account with facebook, using a disposable email address (gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc) without linking it to yourself, you don't even need a profile picture ![]() that would give you access to the various FB groups to promote your events in without the risk of being sent disgusting images/abuse etc. I've definitely picked up players promoting my tournament on FB using events and wargaming groups, sometimes people just have no idea that things are happening and find out by accident, I've found several local players thanks to FB so it's well worth getting on, even if it's just to a minimum level for the purpose of promoting your tournaments ![]() |
